Sworden's Smoke — Restaurant in Bowling Green

Wow. Just wow. Sworden's did it again. What a fantastic meal. It started with the pork belly burnt ends. They were amazing. Calling them meat candy would be spot on. They were flavorful and soft and just plain out of this world. I tried their popper for the first time. A nice piece of sausage wrapped in bacon. Here's the surprise though, there was cream cheese and jalapenos under the bacon. As you begin to eat the popper, there's nothing overly special. But once you hit the bacon then you hit the creamy cream cheese. It's just a whole other world. Wow. The brisket sandwich was absolutely delicious. As was the pulled pork sandwich. Their sauces are spot on. They are doing barbecue the right way. Make sure you follow them on Facebook. They do move around a bit so you really have to follow them to know where they're going to be. Always a great experience! The pulled pork sandwich is my go-to, but they offer a lot of great meals. They load you up with a large portions and it’s so good! Wonderful customer service, hardworking staff— you can tell that they love what they do by serving the BG and surrounding communities.

As a mobile food truck, they’re not always around and not always at their usual spot in BG, but the owner does an absolute FANTASTIC job of keeping the business Facebook page updated with location, hours, and specials for the day/week. Sometimes, they sell out early (which I think is a huge testament to how awesome they are), but the owner also does an amazing job of letting us know on Facebook if they do sell out. I always check out their page before heading uptown to pick something up.

May 18, 2022 Found on a Maps, when looking for bbq on our way thru town. Not there! Seems to have become an Italian place that didn't look open.

A representative of the business responded to my review, chastising me for a negative review of a "food truck that I didn't even eat at". It was not identified as a food truck on Google - only as a 4.7 star restaurant at an address, "open" until 7pm - information that should be kept current by the business. As a traveler, looking for good food while passing thru town, inaccurate info like this is frustrating. Restaurant reviews aren't just about the food, but the total experience.
