I can't say enough good things about this place. From an out-of-towner's assessment, it's obviously a very "local" establishment, but without that closed-off, cliquey feel that such places often develop. The place was fairly busy when we got there. There was the requisite table of 8 - 10 older guys obviously enjoying their time together, and maybe ten or so tables of two to four people, all seemingly enjoying their breakfast. The place just had an upbeat, comfortable atmosphere. The menu isn't extensive, but what we ordered was one heck of a good old fashioned breakfast. Not just our server, but every employee that walked by our table spoke and made sure we had everything we needed. When I went to the register to pay, I had to wait for the cashier to help a very elderly and frail looking patron out the door, and that is exactly as it should be... people helping people get through their day. Not only will we be back again, but I can't imagine ever passing through Bowling Green again without stopping by for a cup of coffee and a slice of what America is...
Read moreThis was my first time dining at Teresa's restaurant and immediately upon entering the building, I realized this place was so popular because it was a staple in the community. The tables were varying sizes and patterns, the decor was eclectic with old tools, vintage signs, and pictures hanging of what looked to be the original owners or patrons who may have helped support the growth this restaurant has seen. The restaurant was open seating and the servers were running every which way taking care of customers with a wave and a smile, while calling them all by name. We ordered the ribeye steak and eggs, French toast, veggie omelet, with biscuits and gravy. The steak was cooked to order as well as the omelet. The food was all delicious but did lack a little bit of seasoning, however condiments were available upon request. We never wanted for anything during our meal and everyone was extremely friendly. It is easy to see why this place is such a staple in...
Read moreWalking in I wasn’t sure what to do. Seat myself or wait. I waited, then went in to where you pay. The young blonde haired waitress waited on us. She asked me what I was doing in that room? What did I need out of there? I told her I was trying to figure out if we seat ourselves. The fact that she addressed me like that is an issue!! She took our drink order and when she came back from getting the drinks she asked if we were ready or needed another minute… we literally just got the menu. That’s great service as for our drinks… getting a refill was slower. I had gotten a business call and while I was on the call she come and expected me to tell her what I was wanting even though I was on the phone!! How rude!!! She just had a bad attitude until time to pay.. she’s real nice then!!
The food was good I’m not knocking the food but the piss poor attitude of the little blonde girl...
