READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO TO FRANKIES CAFE ..First of all "Frankie" thinks he has a high end fine dining place .but he is missing both the high end and the fine dining. I went there with a few friends on convenience as Banana Boat had over an hour wait and my friends live just over the bridge and have never been to Frankies. After looking inside we were not impressed it looked like a carryout pizza place no decor, a bit unkept & bit dirty, so we sat outside it looked cleaner, but it had the ambience of sitting outside a Dominos Pizza carryout. Its an ultra casual place in a strip mall next to a tanning place and nail shop ..casual is an understatement, but you wouldn't know that by the prices on the Frankies Cafe menu you would think it was a south beach hotspot or las olas ,15.00 12" pizzas, 24 bolognese pasta , 27 linguini and clams definitely not cheap prices and rather high prices for a place that looks like a carryout pizza shop. We all commented we were shocked at the prices considering what this place looked like inside and out. One of the waitresses came over handed us, menus said she was very busy and will be back in a few,...(there were only 2 tables taken in the whole place on a friday night at 8;30, we were not sure what she was busy with but said not problem) one of us is allergic to egg so we asked if the pasta had egg....she seem annoyed but came bank and said yes it did, I asked again any of the pastas not have egg one must not it appears there are 5-6 different types on the menu ...and she was visibly annoyed annoyed and said yes all do ...I find that hard to believe ....but she was very unfriendly and we commented we hope she is just having a bad day.... after she walked away. Shortly after a very nice polite Spanish speaking boy that must of been 12 yrs old came out and gave us a rolls with olive oil. While sitting outside I noticed a larger menu taped on the window, I went over there and looked at that seemed different and more expansive then the one the waitress handed us I noticed they have a large 18" pizza for 19 that was not on the mensu only a 15.00 12" ( neither are cheap by any means for a cheese pizza...we also noticed on the online menu this 18" pizza is available during the week for $12.99 carryout only ), when the waitress came back we proceeded to ask a few questions and again received her very unpleasant attitude like order now ...I am too busy for you guys ..(even though only two tables of patrons including us in the whole restaurant)...we then started to order the vodka pasta 22, meat sauce pasta 24, and a large pizza for the 3 of us. When I said a large pizza she said all we have is a 12" for 15, I said on the window it says 18" for 19 she said thats for carryout only, and I asked her to explain, she said the owner is sick of people coming here and ordering just pizza and has a policy now to discourage that and is only offering a $15 12" pizza and she said it with attitude like you cheap SOB's get the H out of here ...we then said please come back we have to rethink this.....after she left we all agreed there is to much attitude and to little pizzaz/ambiance to put up with this and we did not want to patronage a place like this, i honestly has a similar outside seating ambience of a few wooden tables outside a Dominos Carryout ..and the inside is not much better. We then left a 10 and decided to take our business elsewhere. The waitress who was very rude to us jumped on the 10 bill and stuff it in her pocket immediately we noticed as we walked to the car..we left went to Tramontis Delray which has excellent food & excellent ambiance and excellent service highly recommend it for very similar to prices to this "carryout" style Frankies with no ambiance. Honestly if Frankie can't either up his game in the ambiance in a big way ... or lower his prices to reasonable (we all know how cheap it is to make pasta and pizza lets be honest) ...and offer some sort of value proposition ..and have a service oriented staff ....I read its under new management hopefully they fix these issues.

Tommy at Café Frankie's Italian Kitchen was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and exceptional service. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant instantly transported me to Italy, creating an unforgettable dining experience. I started my meal with their famous garlic knots, and they were nothing short of amazing. The knots were perfectly baked, with a golden brown crust and a soft, flavorful center. Each bite was a burst of garlic and seasoning that left me craving for more. Next, I savored a slice of their mouthwatering pizza. The crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and generous toppings created a medley of flavors that reminded me of the streets of Naples. It was truly a delight for my taste buds. To balance out the savory dishes, I ordered the almond apple salad. It was a refreshing and satisfying blend of crisp greens, sliced almonds, and juicy apple slices, all tossed in a tangy vinaigrette. The combination of textures and flavors was simply divine. What impressed me beyond the delicious food was the exceptional service. Tommy and the staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was perfect in every way. Overall, Café Frankie's Italian Kitchen is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. Whether you're a fan of authentic Italian cuisine or simply want to indulge in a culinary adventure, this place is a must-visit. I highly recommend trying their garlic knots, pizza, and almond apple salad - you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Café Frankie's, for creating an atmosphere that makes me feel like I'm in Italy and for serving incredible food. I can't wait to come back and explore more of your culinary delights. Enjoy your dining experience at Café Frankie's Italian Kitchen!

Someone at my gym mentioned Cafe Frankie's , so being Italian restaurant aficionados, we decided to try it. Tucked in the rear corner of a strip center. It is basically a Pizzeria with Italian food. Started with Calamari Fritti, Calamari with hot & sweet cherry peppers served with marinara sauce, just ok. We had to ask for bread that comes with garlic oil twice. For mains , i tried the Zuppa Di Pesce, clams, mussels, calamari, and shrimp in a light tomato seafood sauce, served over linguine. The sauce was watery and tasteless. Not a good sign for an Italian restaurant . My wife chose the Eggplant Parmigiana, eggplant breaded, baked with tomato sauce, ricotta & mozzarella cheese, served with pasta. One of her favorite, she thought it was just fair. One in our party ordered thin spaghetti with olive oil and garlic and they brought our ziti instead. She sent it back and they brought a thin spaghetti without the olive oil and garlic so she ordered the ravioli. One and done.

I'm so heartbroken over what happened at Cafe' Frankie's. I loved working there as a Hostess/ Helper/ Server, from Feb 17th till last week. Tom (an owner) explained after telling me no one gets fired during the slow season, that schedules just get evenly dispersed so as to keep it fair. Instead, I was blindsighted the next day me when it was announced in a group chat that the next week's schedule had been changed. I myself had five shifts scheduled for that week. The new adjusted schedule did not even have my name on it. Point is I was making $x amount per hour and they just don't want to pay me. I worked so hard and I looked so well-kept every time I worked. Customers asked me if I was an owner and were surprised when I laughed no. They said I compliment the establishment and really help everyone out on every level. I put my all into it. I ran food, hostessed, expedited, served occasionally, made desserts, came in on my days off when they called me, did the washing of linens in the evening so they'd have them the next day. Handled reservations. Took to go orders, put them together, swept the floors, ran ice, did side work, bussed tables, even washed dishes and took payments when servers were backed up and needed help. I smiled at every employee and customer at every shift. I mean they cut me out in a group chat and put it all on the GM. Do they just dislike good human beings? They just took away 5 shifts of mine and said in a group chat that the schedule had been modified. I am so sad and want to let Tom and Steve, the owners, know the blow was low and it hurts. I have to go in for 1 more weeks pay and I will walk in with my head held high, being my beautiful self and I will still feel love for their restaurant. Because although they were wrong, I truly love Cafe' Frankie's and I can't change that. Michelle 'just a hostess'.

Response...

My times off were pre-approved. If you really want to go there we can. I never called out, yet when my mom had an unexpected stroke....when I ASkED you if I could go to her side, Tom said, "aw man, Michelle. God bless your mom, call Joe and have him adjust the schedule." The other time out was announced on the day you hired me when I disclosed that I had a scheduled medical procedure coming up (so no time missed). It was an out of town procedure. Pre-approved by YOU. If I was disgruntled I would not have given you 4 stars and I would have discussed...
