I went to Tropical Smoothie today to purchase 2 drinks and was disappointed with the smoothies as well as the customer service.
There were several people waiting ahead of me for their orders to be completed and while I stood quietly in the corner I watched a frustrated woman inquire as to why someone else had their order completed before her. While you could argue that some items take longer to prepare than others in a restaurant, I'm not sure why a person who ordered 3 smoothies would get their order before a person who ordered 2 earlier. Interestingly I found out that the young lady who ordered 3 was apparently an employee who was here on her day off (which may have explained why she had her order processed before the other customer). What annoyed me was that the young lady mocked to her friends (loud enough that I could hear) how that customer was still waiting for their order.
Eventually the café cleared out and I was the only patron left waiting for their order to be made. The 3 employees that were working disappeared (2 went into the backroom and 1 began to clean tables, etc...). Eventually the one cleaning tables asked if I was ready to order, at which point I explained how I had already ordered 2 drinks 20 minutes ago. He went to the backroom and the girl who had processed my order asked me to remind her what I had ordered. As I recited my order, she pulled out a smoothie from the fridge under the counter saying it was 1 of the drinks while she prepared the second one.
The icing on the cake was when I returned home and found that the smoothie "fresh from the fridge" was wrong... I will not visit this location/chain again.

Read moreI would rather drive to Northlake. This location here…the worst. I ordered through the app at this location despite a bad experience I had last year with the cashier. She was rude. I didn’t want to drive to the Northlake location because I wasnt going to work that day. I was hopeful that maybe things would be different since it had been a year since I last tried this location. NOPE. I placed my order online for two smoothies and a wrap…..SPECIFICALLY choosing “Spinach” not “Kale”, not “Kale and Spinach” just SpinachI went to the location at pickup time and the two young cashiers upfront were trash talking the location and apparently a previous worker that came in that day looking for some type of paperwork. I cut into their conversation politely because I was in a rush. She looked at me and just took an order out. I looked at the drinks which looked off to me in color. I asked was Kale in it because it looked slightly more green and my regular smoothies look greenish brown. She looked at it, read the label and said “No”. I told her to ask who made it if it had Kale and she refused and assured me it was just spinach. Well, I’ve been home the last two days and it had kale in it. My food sensitivity to kale is thankfully not too unbearable. Called the location and the guy was adamant nothing was done wrong and there would be no refund. Read moreThe worst Tropical Smoothie place in history!! They do not respect your time at all. If you place an order weather online through the app, over the phone, or a walk-in, expect to be waiting for at least a decade. I like to order my food through the app because there are nice perks to it and every time I go in to pick up my food, the order is either lost, missing something, or done incorrectly. IT NEVER FAILS. Even on a slow day!!!! My last experience with them was the ultimate worse. They had a girl working the front cashier and she looked a mess. She just came out of the hospital. She had a cast on one of her arms, the hospital wristband still on the other arm and blood work was performed on her. Her band-Aid was still on and you can see the blood oozing out of the band-Aid. She looked out of it. What type of management allows a worker to work under those circumstances. This is a restaurant who sells FOOD AND BEVERAGES. And as always she was not able to find my order that was placed at 1:00PM. They were trying to begin my order at 1:46PM! None of the workers apologized for the inconvenience, told me how long was the wait, just no respect for anyone’s time. I asked for a refund because that is insane. This place needs better management. Never will I ever come back to this Tropical Smoothie or recommend...
