I hope this finds the manager or bar owner. I am from Bozeman Mt. but moved away a few years ago and haven’t been back to the bar scene in a some time Rocking R Bar definitely not worth the time. The one positive is a waitress named Gabby who knows her stuff and is amazing at her job she is the only reason I would recommend this establishment. If she is not working there I wouldn’t bother. I went to this bar to with three friends to play pool and catch up on old times and make new memories. My friends and I arrived early 6:30 / 7:00 pm on a Saturday night. I started out with a moscow mule had 4 total that night. I asked the bartender after 4 drinks how much they were and I quote $11.00 a drink. This is the most I’ve ever paid for this drink. My drink was not a double Incase your wondering. Having been a bartender for 5 years this is a really sad. Also the skinny short blonde cocktail waitress is horrible at her job. Not once in the 4 hours we spent there did she ask if we were good on drinks or doing well. She waited on the customers around us especially the younger men (21-26) and oh yea not once did I see her ask for an ID. I also asked for the manager or shift lead personal to express my concerns about customer service this cocktail waitress was giving out. After that conversation I did not witness her manager talk with her about anything. Her service never got better. But when Gabby came on shift thank god, she tended to our every need and request. She is amazing. My total bill for my girl and I was just under $70.00. I tipped Gabby $20.00 her service is far superior than that of her co-workers. I also tried calling a week and a half later about the service just because the establishment deserves to know, and to check on the price of the moscow mule. The employee that answered the phone said “I can’t hear you and we don’t quote drink prices over the phone” and hung up on me. Great way to start out the new...
Read moreI’m giving two stars only because fortunately our bartender was great . However I had the worst experience ever here !!!! People were standing up and dancing in the bar and kicking stuff over . One guy kept trying to climb inside w the bartenders and was putting his nasty shoes all over . There is only one restroom and the line is super long !!! I ended up using the men’s restroom and was immediately grabbed by my arm hard - not lightly , and another girl whom I did not know was grabbed by her hair and tossed out the back door . I am not from there , was all by myself now , had no coat on and it was 9 degrees at the time , no phone to call for a ride or help , and no wallet to go any where - it was all inside !!! It was a very scary thing . I tried to ask them if I could at least go tell my husband I had to leave as he was still inside and they would not let me nor go tell him . This left him not knowing why I never came back . I couldn’t get back in . I asked repeatedly if they could go tell my husband whom I pointed out as I could see him from the door . I was told no . I couldn’t go in any other bars to get warm - as my I.d was still inside . I was terrified and freezing !!! Finally after about 50 minutes outside a passer by helped me get in to a warm place and use her phone . I understand me being kicked out for using men’s restroom . I get that they can’t have that . But the way they did it was very dangerous , careless and disgusting. It would have taken two decent human minutes to tell my hubby I was outside . I was 350 miles away from home freezing , and they had all my belongings in , grabbed me very aggressively and mean . It was horrible ! The bouncers need to get some control over themselves and learn how to handle...
Read moreWas in Bozeman for the first time and wanted to have a few drinks and do a little dancing. The place was packed and the vibe was great at first, however the only open seat were the front of the bar. We sat and ordered which took around 10 minutes, which was fine. THEN almost directly after we got out drinks girls (staff) started dancing on the bar with their super dirty shoes and dancing directly around and above our drinks. We hurried to grab them and my friend asked if one girl could please not dance over the drinks to which the girl (who was staff) proceed to start shaking her backside in her face intentfully. She then proceeded to grab several members of the crowd including one with Birkenstocks that had clearly been out camping with dirty feet to dance over our drinks right in front of us. We attempted to move however the house was pretty full and we were a group of 4 so it was the only place to stand with room. I’m all for fun and dancing on the bar isn’t what bothered me, the lack of sanitization and the attitude of the staff member was super unfortunate and unprofessional. Had she been respectful of space I would have given a 5...
