Overall the worst breakfast experience we have had. Put our name and phone number in for what they told us would be 15-20 min (and they would text us). Went for a walk and came back 15 min later to others waiting in the lobby. We stood in the corner and waited and the gal hostess did ask if we were helped and I told her our name was on the list by the other host. After waiting for about 10 min and seeing others getting seated the male host who had originally taken our name asked about us like he didn't recognize us. Then he apologized and said we disappeared from his system but proceeded to blame us for not inquiring again even though we had told the gal that our name was in the system. Then he leads us to the table in the VERY back right next to the back door and the restroom, even tho there were empty tables available. It took forever for our server Lauren to arrive so we could order. When the food arrived it was the most bland looking plates ever. No color at all. Plain potatoes, plain eggs. It was plopped on out table with no condiments, no salt and pepper, no silverware, no jam, nothing. Once she was gone we couldn't get someone to help us at all. We were trying to wave down anyone with no one even looking our way. Honestly it really felt like we were being discriminated against. Luckily we finally got a hold of what looked to be the only other server in the restaurant and she was very sweet and brought us everything we needed. We didn't see our server Lauren for most of our meal until we saw a mother and daughter get seated next to us and then Lauren profusely apologized to them for making them wait for literally 5 min after ignoring us the whole time. We tolerated our food. It was not good at all. Bill gets dropped and we waited and waited for Lauren to pick it up to no avail. I had to go up to the front to pay the bill. Literally the worst service. The only bright light was the gal that brought our condiments to us. We asked the person that ran our card to specifically give a nice cash tip to her on top of the standard tip we gave our server. She was the only one that actually paid attention to us.. We will never ever come back and honestly hope the owner takes our feedback seriously and learns and trains their employees better about customer service, like every other restaurant around town. We went to three other breakfast spots on Main - Jam, Western Cafe, Main Street Overeasy and all had amazing service and great food too. Nova doesn't hold a...
Read moreMinus one star for me making reservations in advanced, only for us to wait twenty minutes because they forgot to set aside the table, while we watched them sit other customers. It was only after I continually complained that they finally got a table together.
Minus one star for the host's snarky attitude and general inability to make up for not having our reservation set up. I've been a hostess at one of the busiest brunch restaurants in Dallas. Not only did I always have the tables set up before hand, I had a chart where I marked tables off for reservations and communicated that with the bussing staff 30 minutes before the table arrived. NO ONE got set at a table that was marked off 30 minutes beforehand because we all know that no one eats and leaves within 30 minutes. It sucks for the waiter, perhaps, but when I waited I knew a table that was happy at sit down was one that paid well. So in the end it was worth it. This host never apologized and had to have the wait staff tell him to not sit tables in their section so that they could get two tables put together for us.
Minus one star for me having to leave because even when I expressed I am allergic to chili peppers, the hollandaise had some in it. I already took a bite. Weeks later, I am still suffering the consequences. My husband and sister tasted the hollandaise and even said it had a "bite" and they could taste it. I had to rush home to get my medication so I didn't go to the hospital.
I would rate one star, except I know they can do better. However, be wary to go to this place if you have allergies. They seem accommodating, but you will suffer the consequences, not them. Don't trust them. Otherwise, if you can handle the host ineptitude, you should...
Read moreI visited this place since it was on one of those websites where they said this one being one of the top places to eat breakfast in Bozeman area. The parking was a bit limited, but after driving a couple of loops in the one way streets, I was able to find a spot to park. I was happy I did.
When I first entered the restaurant, I was greeted right away and was asked if I could wait a couple minutes while they clean a table for me. A couple minutes later, I was walked to my table. There was vibrant art all around the place from a specific artist, "Color of Ashes". They were offering the art as a purchase along with the food they sell. They had other art and some menu items on the walls as well.
I was provided water in their Nova blue plastic cup and a menu. It was double sided and they also had a kids menu that you could get with real crayons and color. They offered freshly squeezed juice and many breakfast offerings you would expect to see at a breakfast restaurant. I ordered the all meat omlete for $14.95
It came with potatoes that were peppery, a choice of bread and an omlete with sausage, ham and bacon, and a little cheese on top. The only thing I wish it had more of was cheese. I normally expect an omlete to have cheese inside but it appeared there was little to no cheese inside.
The food tasted great and I was checked on to make sure everything was going well. Friendly staff and great food and atmosphere make this a great place to...
