Alert the gendarmes!

A patisserie, stolen from the streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, has been sighted tucked away in a tiny storefront on Main Street in Bradley Beach. (The loss of such a cultural icon will not go unnoticed by the French. They are sure to come calling for what's rightfully theirs.)

Erin, along with her accomplice, James (I suspect these are aliases) are offering fresh, authentic French bread, outrageously fluffy brioche, buttery and flaky croissants, crisp panniers, and a slew of other treats (see photos) out of this tiny shop. She claims to be an entrepreneur, but having sampled nearly one of everything in the shop, I can say with confidence she's more of a culinary magician.

Not that the Jersey Shore doesn't deserve such delicious Gallic delights; we do. We do! But, we've been promised such delights in the past, by other bakeries, only to be disappointed.

Not so in this case. Go now, before the summer crowds form a line around the block!

They have abbreviated hours, so check before you visit.

Also, I suggest wearing a beret and dark glasses, just in case the cops raid the place and haul the whole, charm-filled establishment—it's customers kicking and screaming—back to Paris where it clearly belongs.

Pro-Tip: Go early if you hope to buy bread. It sells...

I found this bakery when I decided to have a mini staycation and explore my area. I asked ChatGPT where to go during this little home adventure, and this topped the list. The review by the guy saying France was going to come steal this place back sealed the deal. Now I am literally addicted to the iced oat milk latte here. It’s the best iced latte I’ve ever had, and in the area, and there are A LOT of great coffee spots all around here. But the latte here…really special. I’ve never eaten pastries like they have here, so every time I come in (pretty much once a week now) I get a new one to try. They’re all delicious! The cookies are also so good and fun: matcha, sesame seed and tahini. Oh, and the cream puff. Never had one before this place but it is perfect and delicious. Not too sweet. They also have a bunch of fun breads to buy that are equally good. Everyone that works here is always friendly and having...

Visited this place yesterday and I feel like I was transported to another country. Everything we ate was beyond incredible !! My family and I sampled the brownies, the dark chocolate cookie and the cheese danish. Every item was unbelievably delicious!!! With each bite you can taste the high quality ingredients used as well as the love put into each item. Not only was the food delicious but the place is decorated with such love and the staff were super friendly and chatty. You feel as if you just entered a long lost family members home. It was magical !! We will definitely be...

I had the absolute best creampuff I've ever had at Hey Peach. The cardamom bun with pastry cream (skolebrød) was also a delight and the customer service is top notch, rounding out the whole experience. The fine details that went into the design of the shop – including the beautiful mosaic of a pair of morning doves at the entrance – give you an idea of all the love and intentionality that goes into everything they do. It's definitely worth the trip whether you're local or from out of town!

TLDR: Go here...now. Stopped in for the first time since they opened. They had a really great selection of pastries, bread, and other treats. We ended up with a good assortment and everything was absolutely delicious. Perfectly laminated croissants. Beautiful hand pies. Perfectly baked bread. The folks working were super friendly and helpful just adding to the experience. I can't recommend this place enough for your pastry and baked goods needs.
