I was impressed with how the staff immediately catered to the kiddos. We were put at ease at how friendly they were to our kids who were full of energy and loaded with questions. I think the one star reviews here were a bit harsh, considering it is in a main strip known for tourism and the business hours also happen to be the restaurant's peak hours. That said, I love how they serve fresh caught fish from a local fishing charter. The grouper and clam dinner did not disappoint and the saison I paired with it was served in a chalice to boost the aroma and flavor if you're a beer conosssieur. Seating was limited to the indoors due to the threat of rain and there was a small wait to be seated. Once we were seated the staff was more than kind to my kids and put us at ease considering we were visiting from out of town. The attention to detail to the restaurant's decor, the welcoming staff and the quality of the meals made it an overall pleasant experience for my family. Thanks for the memories!

if youre a seafood lover, go to blue marlin!! you can start your afternoon window shopping on bridge street and make your way toward the best seafood restaurant on Anna Maria island. there's a small tiki hut bar and live music outside if you want to get a drink before dinner. but if you're looking for a full cocktail menu, order inside the restaurant. we had palomas, espresso martinis and a citrus IPA. our server (drew) gave us excellent recommendations and top notch service. we even got a bowl of edamame on the house and drew brought us extra garlic breads to nibble on. the restaurant is inside a charming 1920s cottage and it has so much character. if you're dining on a friday/saturday night, i recommend making reservations ahead of time to ensure you get a table inside. we ordered the blue marlin cioppino, lobster bisque, potato soup and a large house salad to split. 😊

We came out to grab a bite on a weekday evening. The website recommended putting a reservation down, but it wasn’t too busy and we were sat right away. The hostess was welcoming and friendly and took us to an outdoor table. The seating area itself was well decorated and overall had a really nice atmosphere. After we were sat our waiter met us right away, but I think he may have forgotten us as it was longer than expected for him to come back to take our drink/meal orders. We ended up ordering the House Salad, Potato Soup, the Scallops, and the Grouper Dijonnaise. Everything was pretty good, but the Grouper and its sides were a bit lacking in flavor and the fish was a tad tougher than you’d expect at the price point. Overall we had a decent time, but based on this initial visit it wouldn’t be a *first* recommendation with all the options around.

This was by far the BEST dining experience my husband & I have experienced! Service was friendly from start to finish! I was thrilled they were able to accomodate our request for reservations on my birthday! Our table side service was thoughtful & thorough. The server answered all our questions on the menu & provided excellent recommendations. The food was exquisite!! The freshest grouper on the island, expertly prepared. The perfectly captured the flavors of summer in their Orange Crème Brûlée and Guava Lime pie! I feel I don't have the vernacular to fully express my experience. So I will say it's rustic costal cottage interior complete with mason jars, gallery of local fisherman & familes won my heart, & their kitchen captivated my tastebuds! Best birthday dinner thus far! We will certainly be back for more! Bravo Blue Marlin!

We showed up post-hurricane with no reservation, a newborn baby, and zero expectations--except maybe to be turned away. But instead, we were welcomed like old friends. Huge thanks to the amazing woman at the outside bar who got us a seat inside-you made our night! We were celebrating our 1-year anniversary while grieving the recent loss of two close friends, so emotions were high. But Blue Marlin lifted our spirits in the best way. The Grouper Fettuccine? Life-changing. The Thai Nugs? Crispy happiness. Drinks? Yes, please--and they were perfect. Bri and Morgan gave us top-notch service with warmth and humor. We felt taken care of in every way.ml This wasn't just dinner. It was a beautiful, healing experience we'll never forget. Blue Marlin is now officially our place. Thank you for turning a hard week into something joyful.

Blue Marlin is an excellent option for an outdoor beach scene with decent seafood. The menu is on the smaller side and the options are pricier than surrounding places. The complimentary edamame was unique and one of favorite parts of our dining experience here. I highly recommend ordering the shrimp and grits even if you think it is lame to order out since it’s an easy meal to make in your own home. They have some of the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had! The catch of the day was grouper paired with a pineapple salsa, rice pilaf, and broccoli. This was a good but not spectacular meal and was overall kind of bland. The lobster grilled cheese was extremely good but would not recommend ordering that at a place like Blue Marlin.
