Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Brandon

I was excited for Moe’s to open in the East Jackson Metro area because I’d rather not have to drive to Jackson or Madison when I’m craving this type of food. I like this chain for two reasons: (1) there are vegan options for my wife and (2) you get fresh chips and salsa with your meal. My wife and I visited the new Brandon Moe’s this afternoon and were underwhelmed and disappointed. First, my wife wanted a bowl with tofu but they didn’t have any tofu prepared… that’s fine (I know it’s not the most popular item in carnivorous MS), but rather than ask if she would mind waiting while they prepared some tofu, they just asked what other type of “meat” she wanted. Huh? If you’re not going to have tofu available, just take it off the menu! Furthermore, with the exception of the tomatillo salsa (which I do like!), the self-serve salsa bins were empty and I overheard others in the restaurant commenting about it too. I also noted that the ICEE machine was out of order… that didn’t affect me, but after only being open for a couple weeks, it seems a bit unusual that some of the equipment is already nonfunctional.

I suppose I should also note that we ordered from this location using Uber Eats last week and the order we received was wrong. It was nothing super egregious (they sent a bowl instead of a burrito), but still an oversight. We didn’t call it in since it went through a third party, but there seems to be a lack of attention to detail.

I want to love this place because I do enjoy the food, and perhaps this is all just growing pains, but there’s a lot of room for improvement! Based on the other reviews, I suspect customers may flock to the new Pearl Chipotle when it opens if these...

Our family has always loved Moe’s, but recently the service has been so terrible that we ever rarely go anymore. I’m just now writing this review because I have finally gotten fed up after time and time of getting the tiniest portions. My boyfriend gets the Moe meat moe cheese burrito. This burrito comes with a double portion of steak. In the past it has been a battle to get the employees to even give them the double portions that comes on the burrito. Tonight, she gave him the double portions, but instead, she took the original scoop of meat and knocked steak off twice until there was maybe 5-8 pieces of steak in one serving. She did this for both servings. This has happened with multiple different employees to where we get the feeling that they are being instructed to do this. When you are paying $15 for a burrito, you would expect to get the meat you are paying for. After tonight, we definitely don’t see ourselves going back again. I tried Moe’s 3 times this week totaling in 56$ spent. I was only satisfied one time and that is when one of the managers named Asia, I hope that’s her name bc I never asked her & I was told by one of the employees today which will be my last time visiting. I understand they are not chipotle but there is no reason for chipotle to be cheaper & give you more for your money. Based off of Asia’s performance I was willing to forget my first experience which I paid for a burrito double meat and it looked like a regular portion of meat & my burrito fell apart… I still ate it & did not complain but today is different. I do not mind spending money on good food & Asia made my order with love. I spent 28$ that day she fixed my food. Today was a terrible experience.
