Teaspoon is my new favorite place to get tea in the Brandon/Riverview area. It has a wonderful and diverse selection of teas and flavor combinations that reflect what Iâd describe as genuine craftsmanship in cultivating flavor profiles for drinks. It was very refreshing for me to discover this spot amidst my recent search for a reliable spot to enjoy milk tea options in this area. I personally enjoy the flavor of tea being the star of a good milk tea drink, compared to having either milk or sweetness dominate. That said, the fragrance of the teas and their accompanying tastes here at Teaspoon really impressed me today. I had planned to get one tea and study for a bit to enjoy the friendly environment, but I ended up trying 3 drinks today and enjoyed all of them. I had their Liquid Gold (a honey and oolong tea option), their House Milk Tea (which I enjoyed, although I may ask for a stronger tea flavor next time, which Iâm confident theyâll be able to deliver on), and their Grasshopper (lychee green tea with cucumber juiceâ especially refreshing!). Each of them satisfied a unique craving. I was also able to sample some of their food options: fries and edamame rolls, both of which were excellent. Iâm excited to come back so I can try some more of their teas and perhaps enjoy some more edamame rolls especially, Lord willing! And that doesnât even touch on the friendliness and professionalism of the people who make this place what it is! The positive energy they brought to the environment made it all the more enjoyable. Also the prices are about what one can expect for a milk tea/boba place in the area. But for what I gotâ both size wise and drink qualityâ Iâd consistently choose this spot over others any day of the week. The location might be smaller and less decorated than some of the particularly âcutesyâ tea/boba spots, but the beautifully painted wall and simplicity of the furniture inside (as well as the cleanliness of the whole premises) worked together to make it a really nice spot to sit and enjoy...
Read moreTeaspoon is a very popular boba chain in the Western United States - this is the first location of it found in Florida!
...and after visiting it, I am very thankful to be close to this location.
Entering Teaspoon, which just had its soft opening, I was hopeful that it would set itself apart from all the other boba stores in the area. The menu and aesthetic certainly were both modern and eye-catching - with me being a big taro fan, my eyes were instantly drawn to the Taro Lovers item on the big and easy to read menu. My wife and I each ordered a drink - Taro Lover for me, Liquid Gold for my wife. We have both been to an innumerable amount of boba stores - to the point where we rarely get surprised by any boba places any longer...
Buuuut thankfully Teaspoon now stands very highly on our list ! The Taro Lovers drink was both creamy and just the right amount of sweetness - the taro chunks added a great deal to the drink and it was unlike any other drink I've had before, especially in the taro genre. I downed the drink within about 10 minutes flat since I couldn't stop myself from drinking it; it was just too good to stop. My wife's drink was both refreshing, smooth, and, again, just the right amount of sweetness for what she wanted in a tea. The house made cream was delightful and the perfect complement to the tea!
Overall the experience was also very pleasant: the staff was kind, courteous, and offered explanations for any questions we had. We also got to briefly meet the manager (or owner?) who gave us a quick rundown on the store's soft opening and Teaspoons origins in general.
It was honestly an unexpected and perfect experience (we were just in the plaza to ship something at the nearby UPS store, haha) and Teaspoon easily gained regulars in us both. We will be returning soon and I am very excited to try their gorgeous looking...
Read moreI'm so glad it's finally open. I saw that it was coming soon about 4 months ago when visiting Jasmine Thai. It's right next door to it.
I knew exactly what I wanted. The Crème BrÝlÊe Coffee with the dalgona candy crumbles is something I've been wanting to try. It was so creamy & delicious. I added an extra shot of espresso, but it didn't really need it. I could taste the quality in every sip. I was also super happy with the Chicken Karaage and homemade dipping sauce. It was fresh out of the fryer, and oh so tasty. I didn't take them up on their special combo offer that includes fries (one snack) and a choice of 3 classic tea drinks. I will next time. I'm also interested in the edamame rolls. It comes with the same tasty sauce.
Another thing that I noticed is that there is nutrition information posted for drinks & toppings. You don't see that at many boba shops. I don't have to wonder anymore about the calories. There's a selection of different types of tea. You can choose the tea that you want for your drink, and it's not just a choice between oolong and jasmine.
I liked everything so much that I ordered the Pineapple Shine to take home with me. I thought about getting the Guava Sunset after trying a sample of it. Both drinks are very refreshing, but I just had to try the pineapple one with a splash of guava marmalade. It was delicious!
You'll get a discount off your first order when you download the app and join their rewards program. I could say more about my experience, but none of this matters until you try it for yourself. Check it out if you happen to...
