We often visit this subway several times and have frequently found ourselves as victims of discrimination. We had hoped that the situation would improve, but it has only gotten worse!!
My wife just came back from your subway location at 2120 New Friendship Rd, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. There were two subway workers present: one Caucasian male and one Caucasian female. We are allergic to meat and beef, so my wife asked that the caucasian male employee change his gloves and use a clean knife to avoid cross contamination. As soon as she finished her request, he began making nonverbal gestures and slamming other objects, expressing his anger and irritation towards my wife.(This isnāt the first time heās done that to my wife and itās a constant behavior)
When my wife requested two scoops of avocados, he barely sprayed avocados on the sandwich and literally threw half of the avocados into the garbage as if he were throwing the ball into the court.
This person did not stop there! When my wife walks into the store, he never says hello or acknowledges her, and he never responds when she greets him, but he greets all other non-Asian customers. (This has become a pattern for me, and I find it very impolite, disrespectful, and condescending). Being treated differently than other customers is extremely embarrassing and disappointing.We request that the management of this reputable organization take action and respond to this complaint.

When I arrived the young man working behind the counter was clearly in training but no one else in sight helping. Then a man came from the back, in a tank top, no hat, no uniform and started to help (at least he put gloves on). I said I had 4 subs, he acted like it was a huge deal. While he was starting my sandwiches another lady and man walked in and were patiently waiting. He finished my meats, slid down my sandwiches to the trainee and then did the same to the ladies as well but then skipped right to the gentleman and completely finished his sandwich, cashed him out and offered him free cookies for a 5 star. He didn't even think to offer the other customers the same deal -who overheard the whole conversation too (me & the lady) who had been waiting the longest, and I also had a small child with me. Then he proceeded to take off in the back to let the trainee finish my 4 sandwiches and the ladies. It took 30 minutes to get my sandwiches, as the trainee was trying but clearly it was his first or second day. As I was leaving 2 groups of people walked in and he came out from the back again acting like it was a big deal that people want to come in and order food while you are open especially around lunchtime?!? I wish I would have gotten his name, but someone needs to teach this young man some professionalism and wearing proper clothing/uniform. For the past 4 visits over the past couple of months the store has had no clean tables while employees stood around with nothing to do. The female employees that weāve been graced with are super slow (seriously the slowest!) and have an attitude that they could care less. The icing on the cake was this evening when we went in at 5:50 pm (prime dinner time) both employees were outside at the rear/side of the store having smoke/phone breaks. Come on....if you work in a restaurant, do you really take a break at 6:00pm if there are only 2 people working?? Upon entering the store, there were 3 customers in line and 2 people at tables, but no actual employees inside the restaurant! Immediately one of the staff that was outside came inside to wait on the 3 customers in front of us in the line. 20 minutes later we were still standing in line waiting on the one employee to wrap it up with the original family of 3 in front of us. During this time several other people that were in line behind us walked out. Finally the other employee saw us from the window outside and runs in the back door, calls the other employee to the back of the restaurant. Now, again, no one is up front. That was when we left.
