I actually got to eat here once and it was pretty fun and good. Since then there's been 2 birthdays that came and went where I wanted to go, or the birthday person wanted to go, and even though we made reservations we got "dropped" from the cue. Both times we had been given a half hour time frame. The first time, we were driving there and we arrived at the time exactly as we were being texted that they were ready. While we were finding a parking spot we were dropped from the cue within a minute from receiving the text. The second time we made the reservation and were given a half hour wait time. They texted us 15 minutes into the wait time. LITERALLY A COUPLE MINUTES later they texted that we were dropped from the cue. We decided to just go and finally found a parking spot and then checked in again. This time it said there was a 30 to 45 minute wait. We figured that since they were so fast to move forward that it might not be that long. After 30 minutes my partner went in to ask how it was going and they said there were 6 parties already of us. The one time I did actually get in, I called previously, after being dropped when I was messaged and at the mall. But the time from when I received the "ready" text to the time I received the "dropped from cue" was so short I couldn't briskly walk from the store to the restaurant. That day, I called and they said it's electronic and they can't do anything to make accommodations if you've been skipped. I had to reenter the cue as if I hadn't already been waiting and waiting again. Recently I was injured and I am less able to walk fast. I can't help but feel that it's a bummer that they can't give you a reservation like a normal restaurant where they can adjust and assist the customers, being able to accommodate for at least 5 minutes to get to the restaurant after the "ready" message. I mean, I called from the other store at the mall and the employee said they couldn't help at all to have the table saved for just a couple minutes. I was literally at Lush and already paid and on my way. I mean, it was fun but their inability to accommodate for a reasonable grace period of getting there is pretty ridiculous. It's more stressful than it is worth it. I suppose, when money is more important than experience, the human aspect can be a...
Read moreWhen you step through the doors of Kura Revolving Sushi, the delightful novelty of the revolving belt system immediately pulls you into the atmosphere, but it's the food that keeps you coming back.
The convenience of checking in on their app before arriving at adds a seamless touch to the dining experience, saving time and ensuring a smooth entry into the restaurant. No more waiting around; just arrive and enjoy!
My personal favorites are the seared beef and the wagyu beef nigiri, each slice of meat is tender and succulent, and there's just something about the balance of flavors that really pops. I also find myself quite partial to the cream cheese unagi nigiri. The sweetness of the eel paired with the creaminess of the cheese is a flavor duo that I wasn't expecting to love, but now I can't get enough of it.
Kura doesn't skimp on the dessert either. The freshly fried donut that comes paired with ice cream was such a treat. The donut was warm and fluffy, providing a comforting contrast to the cold, creamy ice cream.
Adding to the charm of the experience is the plate counter, which tallies up your selections as you go, and the fact that most plates are just $2.50. It's a simple touch, but one that definitely adds to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
There's something undeniably cool about seeing my order shoot down the belt and arrive right in front of me at Kura Revolving Sushi. But having the option to order on demand adds a personalized touch and allows me to discover hidden gems that aren't on the revolving belt. It's like a treasure hunt for delicious surprises!
What truly keeps my partner and me coming back are those limited time offer dishes. The thrill of trying something new each visit keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting. Each visit to Kura Revolving Sushi feels like a new experience, which is a rare gem to find at this price.
In essence, Kura Revolving Sushi offers a unique blend of technological novelty, exceptional food quality, and a dining atmosphere that is both delicious and engaging. It's a place we look forward to returning to time and time again. Give it a try, I assure you it...
Read more5 stars in term of food, cleanliness, and most of the service. This happened on Tuesday: June 28th, 2022 around noon. Everything was going well, and everyone was very friendly until my husband ordered a ramen that came with a red plate and a server told us to put it down the chute (which we did) however we realized that it was counted as another $3.20 on the bill plus the $8.50 that the ramen was supposed to cost. This is no big deal on its own, when we finished the rest of our meal (which was delicious) we asked for the check and let our server know that we were accidentally charged an extra $3.20. Jessica was a sweetheart and very helpful in fixing this issue on our bill; however, the server with the name tag "Anaheim" was extremely rude not just to us but to other customers as well. We watched as she rolled her eyes and glared at other customers and us. People would ask her questions and she would reply curtly or with an attitude. When our server, Jessica was explaining to Anaheim the error on our bill, Anaheim replied very rudely that "it's impossible for that to happen". Why would we lie over $3.20? Anaheim should not be working with customers. She had an awful attitude with her coworkers and customers. My husband and I are looking for a new sushi spot since our favorite one didn't survive Covid, but we are hesitant to come back when there is a chance at getting bad service. We made sure to leave Jessica a good tip, but again Anaheim should not be working with customers, she will drive...
