I came here for the first time expecting a decent meal, but honestly, I left feeling pretty disappointed. The food itself was okay, but the way they handle their pricing is just disrespectful and feels like false advertising.
What I Ordered: • Cheeseburger ($8.27) – The menu screen said $7.99, but when I got my receipt, it was $8.27. That’s not tax—it’s just them charging more than what they advertise. The burger itself was fine, nothing special. Standard toppings: house sauce, pickles, lettuce, diced onions. I also asked for it to be cut in half, which they did. But honestly, after seeing the price difference, I was already annoyed. • Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger ($12.41) – It was decent, had the right toppings, and tasted okay, but for over $12? Definitely not worth it. • Fries ($4.13) – Regular fries, nothing crazy. Crispy but overpriced for what you get.
The pricing here is shady. If the screen says $7.99, why am I being charged $8.27? It’s not a huge difference, but that’s not the point. It’s the principle if you advertise a price, you should honor it. It just feels sneaky, and it’s really disrespectful to customers.
Final Thoughts:
I don’t like feeling like I’m being scammed, and that’s exactly how this felt. The food was not good enough for me to just ignore the pricing issue. If they’re doing this with one item, who knows how many other things are priced wrong? Won’t be coming back unless...
Read moreFirst off, we miss the old chicken place, called Giolicious, that served the best fried chicken sandwiches in the mall. I was craving it before finding out it was closed permanently.
So, my family and I thought we’d give this place a shot, given Burnin Mouth is more of a national chain. The total was around $40, for three chicken sandwich meals (they didn’t come with drinks, but we didn’t ask for any). I had my sandwich at the heat level below the hottest, mind you.
The staff seemed unenthused throughout the whole ordering process, down to actually cooking the meals. The one taking my order was a bit rude even. I left a tip regardless, giving benefit of the doubt, before taking my food home for my family to try it out.
They say the company is called Burnin Mouth and yet… at the heat level I ordered, my chicken sandwich was utterly bland with flavor. Sure it has its topping of coleslaw (which was pretty old) and sauce (best part of the meal, not saying much), but I found myself missing Giolicious throughout the entirety of the meal. It did not help either that because of the coleslaw (even after one bite), we had stomach pains after the fact. The fries were okay, nothing more to say.
Unless something’s done to actually make the sandwiches and chicken spicy as they should be, I don’t see this establishment staying for long. A great...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Breakfast Factory in the Brea Mall food court, and let me tell you, it was a very tasty experience! While they offer some mouthwatering breakfast burritos that caught my eye, I decided to try their smash burger menu this time.
I went for the double cheeseburger smash burger combo, which came with a generous portion of crispy fries and a drink that had free refills—always a plus! The burger was a true standout, featuring their house sauce that reminded me of a delicious Thousand Island dressing, along with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. Every bite was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection.
I was thoroughly impressed and can’t wait to go back and try their breakfast offerings and other menu items. If you’re in the area and looking for a satisfying meal, The Breakfast Factory is definitely worth a visit! Five stars...
