I'm not a person to leave reviews but I think the owner of this place should be aware. For context, we visited the Rubio Woods Forest Preserve with my family on Saturday April 13th from an hour away, we were a group which included 3 adults, 2 kids and 2 senior elders. After a few hours exploring the trail we decided to eat a Just Kabobs for the first time ever, we were very excited since it is highly rated on Google.
The food was delicious, I cannot say enough of how delicious everything was. In all we tasted a little bit of everything, the shrimp, beef, pork, chicken kabobs were all amazingly delicious. The rice with the juices of the meats cooking! The Potatoes, salad & dressing, and grilled veggies 10/10! Also trust me on this one, GET THE SPICY FETA! IT IS Delicious!
The one thing that made this experience that made us never want to come again was the service, and this is not aimed at the whole crew but one particular man who was taking our orders.
We had 3 separate orders and were going to pay separately and it was more than obvious that we came together as a group because we were talking amongst ourselves looking at the menu. Once we were ready to order, the man who was serving the orders was:
1.) Very rude - It seemed like he was rushing us out of there, would cut us off as we tried to tell him what he wanted and assuming our order for us which then ended in our orders being all wrong. All 3 separate orders were completely wrong, we would have to repeat our order to the cashier and they would have to fix it for us. He also stated that the shrimp kabob did not come in the combination plater so we had to ask for a single shrimp kabob as extra.
2.) Did not acknowledge our orders after repeating it to him - Again he would cut us off ending our sentences for us, and would give us an attitude when correcting our order. When my order came out and it was wrong, they changed my beef for pork like I had asked and instead of regrilling the pork kabob like I saw how they would do to all the kabobs they served it to me cold. Later I did take that pork kabob home and reheated it and it was definitely delicious! I was really upset that I was not able to enjoy it at the restaurant.
3.) Missing items - Since it was our first time at this chain and felt extremely rushed, we did notice that a few items were not included. Such as the grilled vegetables and the Spicy Feta, I understand I wasn't charged for it the first time even though I ordered it but the fact that I had to wait back in line for it was annoying.
It is completely understandable this kind of service during rush hour, that is acceptable. When we first were ordering we were the only ones in line, there was probably 2 other couples already sitting and eating at their table, I do not understand why we were rushed to put our orders when no one else was around.
It made this experience not so great and after talking it over with the rest of the group, although the food was delicious they stated that they would not revisit this chain.
Hopefully this chain can open closer to the city and has proper training with their staff that can not deter customers...
Read moreI went here 3 different times before writing this review, I most recently got the Combo Plate with gyro meat and chicken. It came with pita, tzatziki sauce, salad with light dressing, rice pilaf, and roasted potatoes (you have the option of fries if you don't want rice). It is a really really good amount of food, especially for only being $8! The chicken and gyro meat was tender and good quality, the salad was pretty fresh, the pita was soft and well made, and the rice pilaf was especially delicious! Each time when I went through the drive through they already had the food ready when I paid. I got the chicken pita and gyro with fries the 2 other times I went here, the chicken was a bit dry when I went there the first time but I'm guessing it was a fluke since it hasn't been dry the other times. This place is absolutely amazing so far, and I hope they'll be this good in the future! I will definitely be going here more often. They truly do live up to their motto, quality food at a...
Read moreWhat a delicious place to eat at. The prices are very reasonable , the service is prompt and you are greeted immediately when you approach the counter or the workers see you. All the food is located behind the glass so you can see all the prep, the choices and the plating of your food. You can get it to go or to dine in. It’s a very nice and clean place as we have eaten here several times. We have gotten almost everything on the menu and there isn’t one thing we haven’t liked. I do recommend the chicken or steak kabobs and also they have a special garlic hummus with pita that is absolutely some of the best I have ever had. The staff is very kind and energetic outside the kitchen as well for we watched them clean up waste right away , so to me that shows they take extreme pride in not only their establishment but also the customer. Love ka bobs and their food. Thank you guys for award winning experiences all...
