My first time ever ordering from Maria's Pancake House and it will most likely be my last. Make no mistake, the food is pretty decent, especially for something I ordered off of Uber Eats. While I can't really give a atmosphere score hence why I rated it 3 stars, the service is definitely something I can talk about. Anytime that I see there is a note section attached to food, I always tend to call the store to ask if what I put into the notes can be done. What I asked if it was possible to substitute my eggs for extra meat or even Hashbrowns. I wouldn't have been mad if they truly had a policy that doesn't allow someone to do as such, but the rude customer service rep over the phone gave me the answer in a tone I didn't appreciate before hanging up on me while I was trying to ask a question. Now I didn't overreact or start to speak loudly over the phone, so I thought it might be good to ask my question and report the behavior to a manager. I call back, I'm still plugged back to the same person I spoke to, and when I asked if I can speak to a manager, they reply, "There is no manager here", before also then trying to say they already gave me an answer to my previous question. I responded that I understand, but I still wished to speak to the manager which they denied me. So I asked for you have an email for the manager. He said no, I then asked do you not have a manager hired? He responded no, and then I proceeded to ask if he knows when the manager will be in, he responds no. So what I got from the conversation was that he wasn't paying attention to what I was saying and was just always planning to say no. I've worked in customer service for 3-4 years and I would never even think about treating any customer in the way I was treated let alone any stranger. I hope the owner or a manager speaks with me or gives me an email to speak with them so that I can ask why exactly I had...
Read moreAs a business owner with extensive experience, I must say that Maria’s Pancake House is a prime example of how not to run a customer-oriented establishment. My recent experience with this establishment was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I called to place an order, I was met with unparalleled rudeness and arrogance from the individual who answered the phone. Despite my attempts to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor, I was met with condescending remarks and dismissive behavior.
Upon receiving my order in person, the situation only worsened. The same individual who had been rude over the phone greeted me with a snobbish attitude and showed little regard for my inquiries about the order. Instead of providing clear information, he seemed more interested in swiftly processing my credit card payment and rushing me out the door. I was left feeling completely disregarded and uncertain about the contents of my order.
To the owner of Maria’s Pancake House, if you happen to read this review, I urge you to reflect on the culture of arrogance and disrespect that seems to permeate your establishment. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed by your staff, particularly the individual adorned with numerous rings and likely hailing from Texas, is simply unacceptable.
I rarely resort to leaving such scathing reviews, but the level of mistreatment and disregard I experienced at Maria’s Pancake House cannot go unnoticed. It is a shame that a business with such potential for success is marred by such poor leadership and customer service. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at this establishment to proceed with caution and be prepared for a...
Read moreOne star for multiple reasons!! My family and I (21 people) have patronized this business quite a few times and to be treated like we were treated, is just disrespectful. From recieving raw fish, extra charge for everything including lemons with your water and plain disrespect from an employee. Mind you no one but the server came to apologize about the raw fish or try to resolve the issue. If anything it pushed us further away. His comment to us was "what do you want me to do" very nonchalant. As a business person you are to handle the situation don't put it off on your customers especially with an attitude. The way he handled it was totally wrong. My food to add the previous time was not good but I was willing give them another try and this is what happened. Also to add we had a coupon for three dollars and our bill was over 200 and would you believe they wouldn't honor it and we presented the coupon as per what they told us. To also had in between us try to resolve this issue he mentioned that "we had a problem you you all before"...that's the three dollar coupon come on you have to be kidding right?? Anywho we won't be back so much attitude and animosity for no reason, especially when we aren't hard to please. We just wanted cooked food, an apology and a little compensation. They have more learning to do with customer service and we won't be the...
