Our Order: Chicken Fried Rice Beef Fried Rice Orange Chicken Beef Lo Mein Spring Rolls
Walking in, you're welcomed by two doors. The outer door slams, leaving you with a jolt of fright and embarrassment. The inner door opens you to what can be described as a small ma and pop shop with two visible tables and 4 seats each; making this a carryout spot but, leaving you with a seat or two if you're on lunch and looking to rest for a bit while eating. I'm pretty sure this was the first time I've eaten food from this restaurant but I am certain, after tonight, it won't be the last.
When it comes to eating Chinese cuisine, I usually have to prepare myself for sodium overload. That wasn't the case here. Every dish prepared for us was cooked perfectly. I could actually taste the other flavors they cooked into their food aside from salt which I've come to associate with most food from Chinese restaurants I've eaten at. The Orange Chicken was also really really good but, diabetics beware, it is extremely sweet; so make sure you have that insulin pen ready for after your meal. I should also mention that their food portions are very generous.
One other thing of note: I scheduled my food to be ready 30 minutes before my arrival. I showed up 5 minutes early and they were still cooking my order. The owner explained to me that they made sure to cook the food as close to the time of arrival as possible to make sure it's still hot by the time I got home with it; given that I show up on time. Most places just cook and let it sit until you show up so I think that was really cool of them.
All in all, I really enjoyed their food and if you're looking for a small ma and pop place that values good and fresh food, you've hit the nail on...
Read moreOk... All these stars but not producing what you are suppose to for pricing increases. I order a chicken friend rice and asked all what comes in it.... We all know it's suppose to be EGGS..green onions ..bean sprout and chicken of course. So I guess since the price of eggs went up .. you decide to leave that ingredient out and think we wouldn't notice. That make the taste . Don't lie and say we put it in there and I'm looking right at my dish. I'm just irritated because you all steady going up on the prices but the quality of the food is terrible. You are a well established restaurant... So that means if we have to pay for eggs increase so do you or drop your prices back. Stop playing these games. Not coming back.... Further more I brought the dish back in to you to prove you didn't put any in... And you kept saying you put 1 egg in the order but yet we seen 1 baby baby piece that only was visible by combing there the entire order. And there weren't any sufficient amount of green onions either. So how about just do better or lower thoses prices ... If I wanted chicken and rice only I would have went...
