Ladies and gentlemen, grab your air guitars and tease up your hair - it's time to party like it's 1989 at Compana's Pizzaria! This local gem has just opened its doors, and let me tell you, it's worth the visit for the nostalgia alone. With a family-friendly atmosphere, real flowers on the tables, and a pizza mosaic that'll have you thinking you've stepped into a delicious piece of art, this pizzeria has it all!
As you walk in, you're instantly greeted by friendly staff and the intoxicating aroma of pizza in the making. They're even open to suggestions, which is a refreshing change from the usual "our way or the highway" mentality you might encounter elsewhere. And what better way to enjoy your meal than while headbanging to classic 80s tunes like Def Leppard and Journey?
Now, let's talk about their support for local businesses. By using Spiva Cooking spices and offering local beers, they're giving back to the community, which is always a big win in my book.
However, there are a few hiccups I must mention. For starters, the restaurant is a bit dark, making it challenging to read the handwritten menu. And if you're a fan of fountain drinks, you might be disappointed by their lack of those. But hey, they've got canned beers, wine, and bottled soda to make up for it!
Moving on to the main event: the pizza! We ordered a massive 18-inch cheese for the kiddos and a 12-inch supreme for the adults, as well as some garlic cheesy bread with Alfredo for dipping (which they accidentally turned into Alfredo fettuccine, but no harm done). The flavor? Let me just say, if taste buds could sing, mine would be belting out power ballads all night long. The marinara sauce is a game-changer, and my wife declared their Alfredo one of the best she's ever had. Even my six-year-old gave it the ultimate seal of approval, calling it "perfect."
Now, every rock ballad has its somber bridge, and for Compana's, it's the crust. It was thick and chewy, which isn't quite what you'd expect from a commercial pizza. But hey, it's opening night, and we've all got room to grow.
So if you're craving a blast from the past with a side of scrumptious pizza, Compana's Pizzaria is the place to be! Just remember to call ahead if you're ordering to go, or you might be waiting longer than a Guns N' Roses...
Read moreUpdate: To the owner- I know it gets busy & u guys are working hard, but I wldnt take my time to write a review & then lie about my experience. I'm sry if it seems off, but I definitely was not offered any kind of modifications to the slice of pizza. I picked one out of the two options & I watched it get "packed up" to go. Maybe it's a different story if dining in. However, If it's important to u & u wanna get the "facts straight", maybe u shld ask questions instead of disregarding it as though its BS. It's not a bad place. I will continue to spend my money here, that's for sure. 3 stars is not a disappointment, it's room for improvement & I wld hope a local small business wld take the constructive criticism. I still stand by my opinions. Communicate with ur coworkers if u don't believe me, u might be surprised. Mistakes are going to be made, it's part of being human. Thanks for the reply anyway. This place is hit or miss!!!
I am obsessed with their Alfredo sauce, it always hits the spot for me but when I went to pick up my to-go order most recently, i tried a single slice of combo pizza & it was not worth it. Not a lot of flavor, not even warm, rubbery in texture, no cheese pull & not very much toppings. However big slices & seemed to be fresh ingredients, maybe from way earlier in the day. 😬 Unfortunately, the one thing that really stands out to me here is the environment. When ever I go there to eat in or take out, the employees seem freaking stressed out & not happy to be there! I can't put my finger on it, but I also don't see the same ppl working either. Maybe there's high turnover 😔 I hope things get better as far as their team goes, I'm sure they're working hard. There's a lot of potential & room for improvement. I know they haven't been up & running for too long, so the kinks are hopefully getting worked out. I wld be so sad to see them close anytime soon! I will always come back & be grateful for...

We finally had a chance to venture out to Campanas to give the new venture a try. I’m afraid to say we were comparing everything to “back in the day”.
We were the only ones in the restaurant for most of the time we were there. We ordered a slice of pizza, breadsticks , ravioli nachos and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Came out to roughly $70 with a tip.
I felt the pizza slice was flavorful, however they overcooked it slightly so the crust came back a little bit burnt. And I did not love that the man behind the counter walked up and grabbed the slice off the counter (just sitting out on the counter - a little strange) without washing hands or gloves on to put it in the oven to heat up.
Breadsticks were reminiscent of the old style breadsticks, super yummy. But once again, overcooked and slightly burnt.
The ravioli nachos weren’t technically on the menu, they were a special. They were not at all like the ones previously, but were actually quite delicious. Really enjoyed those.
It took 45 minutes to finally get the chicken Alfredo. We were pretty tired of waiting at that point and had filled up on the other three items so we took a few bites and boxed it up and left. The Alfredo was my least favorite. The old campanas alfredo was my families favorite meal- this was not even remotely close. Not enough garlic, noodles were weird, and the wait time was silly.
The staff was friendly, however I wish there was some separation between the dining room and the kitchen. The man cooking the majority of the food (again, very nice) was singing loudly the entire 50 minutes we were in the restaurant to whatever was playing in his headphones - which was not the music playing in the restaurant.
If you are looking for a “date night” setting, this isn’t it.
Overall, had high hopes and will...
