4/19/21 Unfortunately, my experience with this Mcdonalds hasn't changed in two years since my last review like I had hoped it would. After all, this location is less than ten minutes from my house, and it would be convenient to take out from here. I rarely frequent this Mcdonald's, and every time I have my food and or drink end up wrong. Around a month ago, my husband and I hit this location; it took four, yes, FOUR times repeating a simple order through the drive-through only for the order to come out wrong anyway. How hard is it to get two medium-hot non-fat cappuccinos, right?? Apparently, it was challenging for this worker because they were both incorrect, and after bringing it to their attention, they did agree to make it again. Still, it was a bit of a wait due to the number of cars in the drive-through and that we would have to pull over to the side. Once again, we cut our losses and moved on!
This brings me to yesterday; my hubby decided to bring me home a large iced nonfat latte, no sugar. Did they get it correct???? nope, they did not! It was disgustingly sweet, so sweet my husband couldn't even drink it; he usually can drink a coffee with some sugar, prefers it without though.
I do understand that mistakes happen, and no one is perfect. I would love to give this Mcdonalds the benefit of the doubt, but the simple fact is, in three years, I have received my order correct only twice, both times it was a black coffee, to me these odds are not acceptable, perhaps more training is necessary? Different Management?
And this brings me to the employees; I know there was a couple of employees who worked at this Mcdonald's that were friendly and courteous, but some won't even say thank you or have a nice day, let alone smile. Please, Wheaton Way Mcdonalds prove me wrong; I know you can do better than this. For once, I would like to give you a better review and a better star rating. There have been many times I have ordered a hot non-fat cappuccino with no flavors, and on several occasions, I have received the wrong drink, or a "barely" warm drink; It is terrible through the drive-through, and it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day it is. Some of the employees are friendly enough, and some are more standoffish. All I can say about restaurant cleanliness is I have seen worse, but I have definitely...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would absolutely do it here. The two “women” employed in the am weekend shift by this McDonalds are the most inhumane people I have EVER encountered at any business I have been at, and that’s a bold statement of someone who is in businesses spending $ everyday everywhere. I’ll explain why but it’s hard for me to put in text the embarrassment and humiliation they caused me. I am an emotional person at all either so writing this is not easy. But something has to be done about the lack of empathy that I experienced when visiting this place. I was in an accident that caused me to have a for a catheter to help use the bathroom while I recovered. That and having two kids I can’t hold it long. It’s obvious when somebody has to go pee tho and I was dancing that OH NO I AM GONNA PEE MYSELF dance & literally begging to get the key but was refused by the manager who was called to the front by the girl I asked 1st but denied. At this point I’m crying btw so I turned & as fast as I could go (leaking pee) I went to get my phone to buy me access of the bathroom. I got it and made it back within 30 secs. Then I had to yell “help!!! Please!!” until they came back to the register to take my order. I could feel pee starting to wet my pants now & when I said “ring me up for anything & give me the key please!” the manager said to me “I don’t know what you want lady” at that moment I was in full panic and crying so hard that I couldn’t hold it anymore and I told her I was going to have an accident on the floor and she actually laughed and said “okay then do it!”!!!!! I peed my pants right there in front of one other customer and said how sorry I was and I took my shirt off to wrap around my waist so I could walk to my friends car in such shame and embarrassment. I don’t know what kind of person could have seen me in that position & not help me at all but it’s not ok! I have not had that type of treatment in my entire life. I took my wet clothes off outside the car in the cold and my friend was in shock as he helped me get into something of his he had in his trunk. I had to write this so that the owner can hold the two “ladies” accountable and be sure they don’t do this to anyone else. This isn’t even close to being able to express the way I feel right now but I had to try. I m just so saddened & shocked. It straight up horrified me with...
Read moreI called at 6:30pm about a hiccup with my McDonald's order from earlier today. Whoever the woman was that I talked to has hardly any business being in customer service. I let her know that I had ordered a strawberries and cream pie and upon opening it later on, I saw some brown pie thing. I waited for a response and there was a good 20 seconds of silence, where I had to ask, "Hello?" because it sounded dead on the other side. Then, very abruptly, she stated, "We haven't had strawberries and cream pies in months" ...as if I was lying. Sooo, I played back my interaction with the employee to the woman, where I let her know that I made the request when ordering and the employee taking my order was very quick to oblige when I asked if they had strawberries and cream pies. Had she said that they did not have them, I wouldn't have ordered a pie.
It's unfortunate that good customer service is so hard to come by in the present day. I just wanted a mistake to be made right, however it had to happen. Sadly, after being treated with such disdain and annoyance by the woman on the phone, I hung up. Whatever right could have been done was no longer worth the trouble of enduring any more of that woman's negativity.
Do better, especially if that was any sort of management... She most certainly carried on...
