Chinese Buffet — Restaurant in Brenham

Wasn’t impressed at all. Most food on the buffet was over cooked and some even burned. The sushi containing avocado had already turned colors, so I refused to eat that at all. I’m a hot and sour soup connoisseur and theirs was on the bottom of the list. The flavor was completely wrong.

In addition to this, the dishes containing vegetables were few and far between. Most of the food prepped was chicken and fish, so not much a variety for the vegetable lovers other than steamed broccoli & carrots and green beans.

The overall cleanliness of the buffet and tables was not up to par either, so I shudder to think about what behind the scenes looks like. I’m also used to extremely attentive waitstaff clearing used plates, but we ended up stacking our used plates on our table, and it wasn’t until we were finished eating that all of them were cleared. At this point, I hope I don’t get sick later, but if I do, I’ll know why. This is a definite no for me and I was hoping for a great dinner. It’s just...

Wow. I thought I had the worst Chinese food until we came here. I would only recommend this place to someone with constipation issues. Cheaper than an ER in that case and faster results. Our 8 year old ate some jello and said she threw up a little in her mouth. Pretty sure the beef stir fry was named fluffy yesterday. The sweet and sour chicken would do well as a door stop and the eggs were probably dropped on the floor before they made their way into the egg drop soup. You know how the staff at Chinese buffets usually eat in the restaurant on breaks? Not here. I'm certain they order out. Only positive part of the night was the family bonding. In a house with 4 females we rarely agree, but tonight we all agreed on this restaurant. It was actually a challenge to try the 30 or so samples of food hoping the next one wouldn't taste like ass, But we lost that challenge. Don’t waste your time or money. Rude service and gross atmosphere. 3 boys and 3 adults. We were excited to eat after a long day, loaded up on food and go to enjoy… when we see not 1, but multiple HAIRS inside of multiple foods. We politely informed the manager and she didn’t care, just wanted us to get over it and get more food. Obviously we ALL lost our appetite. So disgusting! We went to pay (all of the food practically untouched) and the manager didn’t care. She tried to charge us over $80 - all 6 of us hardly ate! Only 2 of the boys actually were able to finish their meals. She knew that the hairs were in the food and said “just pay $40 then.” I had to walk out - cause my granny insisted on taking us out to eat. But even $40 seemed ridiculous for (not even) half touched food. I’m talking we didn’t even clear the first plate - none of us! To top it off- she wouldn’t let us get a togo cup for our drinks.
