I was craving dumplings REALLY BAD tonight so you know the first thing I did was search up dumpling places on Google Maps…. and lo and behold there was a Dumpling Hours that I’ve been wanting to try for a while now! I went at around 6:45pm — with plenty of seats available. Service was fairly quick as we just chose what we wanted to eat through our phones — with the help of a physical menu and the pictures on the digital menu (which by the way were SUPER helpful and actually looked like what was expected). We got the egg drop soup with seaweed, the jellyfish salad with green onion oil, the ginger and scallion noodle (蔥油拌麵), pork shrimp and chive dumplings, and chicken xiao long bao (雞肉小籠包) — and honestly ALL of them hit the spot. All the portions were bigger than what I expected — and I loved how you could see them make your dumplings RIGHT in front of you too! So you know it’s fresh. Overall, service was swift and didn’t feel rushed — and I’d definitely come back here again to try other dishes! Quite authentic coming from someone who identifies as Chinese (and is a hardcore foodie LOL)

Came here the other day with my mom and son. We ordered everything to be split between us so we could all try everything. We got the garlic noodles, steamed pork buns, spring rolls, pork xiao long bao, and drinks. The garlic noodles were delicious but confusingly long! I didn't try the pork buns but they seemed to like them with no complaints. The spring rolls, or vegetarian egg rolls, were delicious! My mom didn't much care for them but they were some of the better ones I've had. It was my mom's first time having soup dumplings so I showed her how to eat them without burning her mouth and she enjoyed it. They were pretty good. The sugar situation for the drinks was confusing. My mom ordered iced tea, I got a Lemonade, and I ordered an apple juice for my son. She asked for sugar so they brought over a little sugar packet holder but it only had one packet of sugar and a bunch of sweetener so we asked for more sugar and they brought over a sauce dish full of sugar. The service was kind and they kept checking in on us. Will definitely be back with my husband.

Dumpling House's xiao long bao have exquisitely thin skins bursting with flavorful juices, while their pan-fried buns feature crispy exteriors encasing savory fillings - these are the restaurant's standout specialties. The potstickers are also quite good, with rich, satisfying fillings. However, I would not recommend the noodle dishes, as the textures tend to be rather unremarkable and lacking in distinctive flavors. The regular buns do not seem to live up to the quality of the other menu items. I would suggest skipping those and instead savoring the restaurant's superior dumplings. Overall, Dumpling House excels at its dumpling and filling-based offerings, making it well worth a visit. Besides, their price is really reasonable. I would encourage diners to focus their orders on the exceptional xiao long bao and pan-fried buns.

I’ve been a customer since this location first opened, but as of today I will no longer be going here. Food is amazing, service is not. I took my father for father’s day dinner 06/16 around 7pm. We got sat immediately and when the server came to give us our menus she just slid them across the table and walked away. There were only a couple interactions with this waitress as she only showed up to take our order and give us our plates. Every time she gave us our plates she would drop it on the table, (i’m serious you cold hear it clank on the table) or place it on there and just disdainfully tell us the name of the plate. When it came to the check I went up to the front to pay and my dad left some cash on the table. When I paid the waitress took my card and just immediately charged me without letting me see the total and then immediately sped away from the register. I went to sign the receipt and leave tip when I realized I got the automatic charge 20% gratuity for 6 top added to my bill when my party was of 4. I called her back and asked her about it, she told me she thought that was for the table number and the machine automatically added it. I saw her refund my money and recharge me. There are no table #s and you had to manually enter the # of guests. She took my receipt and did not...

My friends and I [Party of 6] went here for my friend's birthday dinner last night. We called @ 8:10 pm and asked if it was okay if we could still swing by which they said yes. [btw. before you call us rude for coming in 30 mins. before their closing, we tipped very well].

We were extremely extremely grateful for their hospitality as no other nearby restaurants were taking reservations at that hour. We were the last customers for the night, and they still served us so kindly.

They even gave us dessert for free for my friend's birthday!!

Service: 10/10!!!

The food was just as amazing, oh my gosh THE BEST dumplings I have ever tried. I always thought Journey to the Dumpling in Elk Grove had the best dumplings, but this place topped it by a mile!!

The side dishes were just as good as well, we got Dan Dan noodles and Fried Chicken, and they were soooooooooooooooooo good.

My Chinese friend said the food was super authentic and the dumplings tasted like the same ones she had from Shanghai! [We got Vegetable, Xiao Long Bao, & Pork Dumplings]

Food: 10/10!!!

I highly highly recommend this place, it was super cheap and the quality of food was of extremely high quality. :)))))))))

If I could give them a 10/5 star if I could.

I will 1000% be coming...

Our dumplings were juicy but lack flavor Xiao Long Bao, the crab&pork were very salty, no other flavor, it tasted like can crabs (Costco?); the shrimp with luffa gourd Xiao Long Bao were better but not much other flavors, need other items, maybe miced mushrooms or green onion or shallots or ginger in their dumplings, to add varieties and flavors.. Our service were not up to par for the price charged. Our two orders of 16 dumplings were $44… that is almost $3 for each dimpling, very expensive for a no Ambience, noisy, cafe (to go) Chinese restaurant.

Overall, the side and vegetables dishes are small, enough only to serve one person, maybe two for small eaters…. the prices charged for portion served were out of line. The noodles dishes are the same, no meat or small portion meat for the price charged, tasteless. Our dinner bill were almost $100 for two people, we were still hungry after our meal.

No recommending this restaurant, they need to modify prices or increase sizes of servings and/or meat/Chicken to dishes to justify prices charged or to sustain the restaurant long term. It’s a new restaurant, people will come to try, but not sustainable with current...
