McDougal's Chicken Fingers & Wings — Restaurant in Brentwood

I'm sooo happy there is another McDougals location closer to where we live. We have gone several Saturdays in a row and had a 5 star experience each time. It makes me kind of sad how little business they've had each time we've went. There haven't been more than a few tables taken when we go. The food is delicious and it is brought out to us within 6-10 mins. I personally would consider it on the pricier side but I think it is worth it. A very kind lady, who I can only assume is an owner or manager, can be see working diligently each time we are there and she has checked on us to make sure we are satisfied each time we go. The other staff members are GREAT too. I prefer the thick-cut fries here compared to the Nashville location's shoestring style fries. I personally get the buffalo sauce (it is not too spicy, more so tangy/sour, almost pickley?) and the ranch, which is SO YUMMY. Their soda machine has the good ice, the crunchy pebble ice, and the sodas are so crisp. We've won 3 ducks out of the 50c claw machine! The ONLY complaint I can make is that we arrived on a Sunday recently at 2:32pm and they were already closed although the hours online said 11-3. We were going to place to-go orders, knowing they closed at 3pm, but didn't get the chance. Absolutely does not change my mind about how awesome I think this location is, but I want to be 100% honest. We'll probably be back...

Customer service is absolutely 10 stars and the food was great too! Since this was our first time here, Dan walked us through the menu and helped us with sauce recommendations. Super friendly without being overbearing and he was definitely authentic, he really enjoys what he does.

I ordered my wings sauced and the chicken tenders naked with sauce on the side. I liked the wings slightly better than the chicken tenders but Tommy, the owner, said saucing the tenders is the way to go, he was right! We tried the sauced tenders next courtesy of Tommy and now it's a tougher decision between the two. Both excellent in their own right. All of the sauces were really good and flavorful. The fries were hot and crispy and the toast was nice and crispy as well.

The ambiance is very family friendly with icee machines and duck claw machines. They have some TVs and good music playing but you can still have a conversation over the music.

I'm extremely disappointed and hurt by my recent experience at McDougals. I attempted to order chicken fingers and wings, but was met with discrimination and rudeness. When I tried to pay with cash, I was informed that they only accept card payments. I was not offered any alternative solutions or explanations, just a condescending attitude.

What's even worse, the staff made assumptions about my financial situation, implying that I was poor because I didn't have a card. This is unacceptable and hurtful. I left the establishment feeling embarrassed and humiliated.

I will not be returning to McDougals and will be sharing my negative experience with others. If you value respect and inclusivity, I suggest taking your business elsewhere.
