Read moreI really like this establishment. I was first introduced to them in the parking lot of the Bowie Town Center. I had the spicy honey wings with jollof rice and plantains. It was immaculate!!! This occasion made me visit at least 2-3 other times.
On the 2nd or third time, I didn't really care for the wings because they were starting to get a little too big, and I like my wings on the smaller side. The rice is always great with the sauce they provide and more than enough plantains. The last time I went, I got the lamb, and that was really good. I'll definitely return, but the area is kind of busy with traffic and not the easiest to get to when I'm commuting.
Post Update 6/29/25: I visited this establishment again for at least the 4th time. The side sauce that you eat with the rice was amazing! I should've gotten the jollof rice because the white rice was very mediocre. It was a little overcooked and not as fluffy and Shelly as the last couple of times when I had it. I ordered the half lamb, half chicken. The lamb was delicious and cooked to perfection. The chicken was just "ok," and I'll need to broil it at home to get it completely right.
I also found out that I had a free reward for an order of six chicken wings. The wings were fine but not up to par of where they were before. You can tell they were sitting because they were not as crispy when I visited previous times. Overall, the food was mostly good and suffice, so I'll rate my recent experience a 7.8/10. I'll be back but will not be rushing to return.
Also, as a side note, I was really hungry, so one of my pictures is clearly after I've begun eating, so take that Pic with a grain of salt, no...

I’m Nigerian so kindly read my review with that in mind.
This place is good. Great location- parking offered- and an overall cute place. When I first arrived It gave me like a marketplace feel which I thought was really cute.
The workers here weren’t the friendliest and not very helpful. We ordered our food and waited and ordered a drink at a bar in the same area.
We ordered combos: the salmon comb with jollof rice and spinach (efo-riro) & the steak suya with chicken quarter leg , jollof rice, and plantain.
The protein was delicious! Well prepared and tasty. Jollof rice was party style jollof so if you like that then you will like this- but not my fav. I am use to Vegetarian style jollof which is very tasty- but I’m not sure if this was cooked in a meat broth so but sure to ask. But the plantain was so well prepared and sweet! I did not care for the efo-riro, I am use to It being more dry and flavorful but for those who are not use to spinach being prepared with these type of spices you might like It.
We got Suya seasoning on everything and I was a bit disappointed. It was not authentic and had peanuts 😳 that part was strange to me and just a bit interesting.
The atmosphere was ok but a bit open and a lot of different exits. Upstairs a live talent show was going on so I thought that was cool. This eatery has a lot of potential and I would love to see Spice Kitchen be their own restaurant. They will do great things...
