Atmosphere is very dark in here, it was hard to read the menu. This is how Benjamin's has always been so whatever. They have TVs on the wall jacked up to 100% blinding brightness.
Our table was wobbly. Whenever my friend lifted his elbows off the table, my beer spilled. My food was horrible. I got a chicken sandwich. The toasted bun tasted like nobody bothered to scrape the grill first. The chicken was very tough and dry. I couldn't eat it. My friends burgers looked pretty good. I can't speak to the other food items.
The staff were very friendly and the beer was cheap. I didn't voice that the food sucked, but I'm surprised the waiter didn't ask since he took my plate back barely touched. I would come again, but...

Not only were they not corporate, they offered original recipes on expected bar fare. Their wings were amazing and offered unique sauces and homemade blue cheese and black garlic ranch. Their queso was delicious and offered specials with domestic buckets and Sunday wing specials. It was a unique experience being in the underground meeting room of a building and the patrons were very festive.    Read moreFirst off: great little spot, margaritas are perfection!! But rough spot: husband and I had never been here⌠and it felt like we were outsiders. The regulars were all given full menus and whatnot. We were there for over an hour and five drinks between us-we wanted food but no one ever said a word about food or even offered. Service was fast but we werenât sure if we had somehow offended them in the 3 words spoken to them.
Not sure if weâll be back. We love little dives and wouldâve spent twice the money...
