Cielito Lindo — Restaurant in Brick Township

Not sure how this place was rated over 4 stars. Truly it doesn't even deserve 1. From the moment we walked in, the hostess/waitress was rude. rolled her eyes at us that we didn't know what we wanted to order 3 minutes after being seated....especially since the.menu was 5 pages long. Came back 2 more times within minutes and was annoyed that we were not ready to order. Btw, there were only 3 tables taken. This waitress questioned when we asked for additional chips...with attitude. Once the food came out, she never checked on us to see if we needed anything. When we finally got her attention she was once again extremely rude. We asked for a leftover box and she was bothered by that. Never said thank you when she.placed the check down. Now for the food. Not very good at all. The meat on the Fajitas were very overcooked. The food did not prompt this review tho....the beyond terrible service did. We we there there for almost 2.5 hours and restaurant was empty. DO NOT GO HERE. ...

I placed an order for delivery and the Ladie told me an hour and 10 min fast forward and one hour 30 minutes later, I call this place to ask them where is my food the girl tells me it is on its way but it going take longer because they got busier and they have a lot of delivery’s I said that has nothing to do with me placing an order an hour and half ago and she says it is on its way. Another 20 minutes goes by. I call, I said the food is no here she give me the run around I ask to speak with the manager, no manager Available so Vanessa comes to the phone And says that they are very busy that they have a lot of deliveries in Lakewood and point Pleasant and that I have to wait I asked her do I get some kind of discount for waiting she said no but if you come and pick up your food here to the restaurant you will get a discount, mind you I have been told three times that my food left for delivery 45 minutes ago. So I was thinking about trying this joint, until I read the reviews about there being poor service and unfriendly staff. Then reading the response by management on all the poor reviews, I can see why. Extremely unprofessional responses. Your management, be professional at all times. Instead of even attempting to correct an issue, you vent and use sarcasm. Maybe you’d have less poor reviews regarding staff and service and you were more professional. And I don’t care if I’ve never been there. Seeing your responses says it all. Why bother giving you a cent of my business. What an unprofessional joke. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants nearby to spend your money on. And I am not a former employee, like your response may suggest. Nice try!
