Not sure if they’ve changed management over the last 8 years or not, but when I lived in Bridgeport this was one of my fave pizza places. The last few times I’ve went to the one on E. Main and the service and food were subpar, so I figured I’d give the one on Main St a try… what a mistake. The prices have went up exponentially while the service and food quality have gone wayyyyy down. Aside from the fact that you have to ask for and pay extra for extra sauce just so you don’t choke to death on their pizza that’s drier than a KFC biscuit, they changed their potato skin recipe which used to use REAL potatoes to what appears to be some frozen crap they bought from a wholesale club that’s literally 1/3 of the size they used to be, and they are ALWAYS burnt on the outside and hard on the inside. $44 for two small pizzas and 6 TINY, BURNT to a crisp potato skins is ROBBERY. If I didn’t live 30 mins away, I would’ve went back and demanded a refund. I have half a mind to dispute the charge with my bank because the potato skins are literally inedible. Then add to that the lazy, rude women they have working the counters who just ignore you while they scroll on their phones, and huff and puff with an attitude when you say excuse me. Called to speak with the manager whose response was “yea, that’s how inflation works” when I stated the prices have gone up while the quality of the food and the customer service has gone down. Spend your money...
Read moreI never had a problem with Crossroads Pizza since I moved to Bridgeport 3 years ago.
But yesterday my father-in-law wanted to have a pizza, so my wife made an order through the phone. They answered and my wife said "Large Hawaiian Pizza" and "Small Greek Salad", and "free Garlic Bread" from the coupon. She repeated her order but then said "Medium Hawaiian Pizza?", my wife said "No, Large Hawaiian Pizza".
20 minutes later as they always said, we went there to pick up our order. When we came back, somehow the pizza seemed a little small. So I told my wife that the pizza does look like medium, then checked the receipt - the worker who took our order put medium anyway.
My wife called the restaurant back, someone else answered and told us we could "bring it back" and they couor try to switch it to Large. And seeing my father-in-law pick up a slice already, so we said we would call back.
The taste was always good but this time - not because the messed up order - wasn't that great compared to other times - busy? Sure but that doesn't mean the quality can be less too. And why is tax charged on the freaking free bread? It was a huge disappointment, as well as it was going to be my last order since my wife and I are moving to...
Read moreOrder at your own risk! We placed an order on Wednesday and after an hour and a half, it never showed up. We called to see where it was and the girl was like, we have no record of your order, or any phone calls. I literally heard the girl on speaker phone take the order my husband placed. There was no apology or anything. We called back a second time once we realized a charge from Crossroads was pending. Still, they took no acceptance. I emailed the manager a screenshot of the charge. The next day there was no reply from the manager so I called and she was very rude and just kept telling me that we have not placed an order since July. I asked for the owner Mark to call me and still nobody called me. What a bad way to run a buisness. My friend even called and I guess the order was somehow cancelled? Well, it would still be nice to have a call back from someone and my money returned. According to our banks fraud department, two charges actually went through. Shame on you Crossroads. I would give zero...
