Mi Pueblo Restaurant & Bakery 2 — Restaurant in Bridgeport

The service was terrible and the food even worse. I had a very cold empanada for an appetizer which was served with no plates. The waitress literally placed a mixed combination of empanadas in a basket which was a problem because we couldn't tell which were the beef and which were the chicken stuffed empanadas. We ended up just guessing and using napkins to eat with.

For the main meal, I had a chicken meal with salad and the entire meal came on one plate, covered in a salad dressing that I never even asked for. Everything was literally squashed together on one plate. The same could be said for the rest of my group who had salad. I only took one bite of my meal before having it wrapped up because I couldn't stand the taste.

Our waitress wasn't very attentive and yet a group of 5 were forced to pay 15% of gratuity which was absolutely ridiculous. This was my first and last visit to Mi Pueblo. All, sans one member of our group, found the food to not taste well at all and we ended up just paying and going elsewhere to eat. Do yourself a favor and choose a different restaurant. There's plenty in the city if your craving Colombian cuisine.

Horrible service. I ordered empanadas over the phone when I got there, they made it seem like they were gonna come out shortly. Then another employee asked me what I ordered. Clearly she had my orders mixed up with someone else's. She brings out food for someone else. I asked her how much longer. She said shortly. I told her how u was already told that exact thing. I asked for my money back because of the horrible miscommunication and because the employee was arguing with me back and forth. Being told to wait more than once and then told that my food will shortly come out more than once. But clearly they were not organized and did not know what was going on. Your customers satisfaction should be more important than your employee trying to get their point across as to why they keep making you wait. Never did she apologize sincerely. The owner just took there and did nothing. I work right around the corner and their behavior makes me never want to go there again. Unprofessional and...

We have been coming to this restaurant for several years. The owner has always been nice and provided us with excellent service. However, today we had a very unpleasant encounter with our server. The waitress brought out the wrong protein for my dish and when I told her I had order chicken instead of steak she became defensive. She told me "no, this is what you ordered. You ordered steak and I confirmed the order with you." I think I'm old enough to now what I ordered and no she did not confirm my order before leaving the table. After this incident, she never came back to ask if we needed anything else as they usually do. We asked another server for hot sauce and it was never brought to the table so my wife had to go and get it from the counter. It is a shame to be treated like this as the servers (not all) make you feel like they are doing you a favor. I'm sure the owner will rectify this bad behavior from her staff and hope to have a better experience...
