This is an update to my review from last month, we visited Burgers & Scoops on Friday 8/16 as we were in the area again this month. I am changing my stars on this review down on the service element to 3, and food to a 4 😕Our visit was great last time so we were eager to try one or two of their seasonal shakes, they were offering two of them, fresh peach and fresh raspberry. My complaint is this, I feel they are deceptive in what they charge for menu items. A medium specialty shake is $4.69, which I expected, perfectly fine. However they charged an additional .75 cents for an add-in, Raspberries! So my Raspberry medium specialty shake needed Raspberries as an add-in? I called a few days later and spoke with the manager on duty, she was polite and explained the price had gone up since last year for raspberries, so they had to charge for the raspberries because it wasn’t reflecting in their system as a price increase. However, the Peach medium specialty shake did not have an additional charge. We should’ve been told there was a $.75 extra charge for raspberries in our medium raspberries specialty shake. Also we ordered a large onion ring. We said we would like extra fry sauce with that. I did not know it didn’t come with at least one fry sauce on its own. Fries sauce are $.35 each, they did not say how many they were giving us or asked how many we wanted or say there was an additional charge for the fry sauce so we paid $1.40 for four fry sauce for one large order of onion rings. The food is good, the peaches in the peach shake were rather hard and not very ripe. Just be aware of what you’re paying for, and watch your receipt.
We stopped at Burgers and Scoops just for a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger for my granddaughter and some onion rings. We thought they were super tasty. It’s a cute little local place. The service was great, very friendly. If you like onion rings give these a try. They were just crispy, shattering, wonderful...
Read moreTo write this review, I must set the stage. A hungry husband and wife, driving through Brigham City late one evening, searching for a place to eat. The wife, searching Google for a place that wasn't closing soon, and the husband, driving down the streets.
Soon, they pass Burgers & Scoops and the wife searches for when they close. Google (which now I know in hindsight was glitching) says it's open until 10:30! Perfect for the hungry pair, they make their way to the drive through, order their meal, get their food, and drive away happily. As they leave the parking lot, the exterior lights of the diner flip off, and it is then that a sinking dread fills the couple. Did they just go to a restaurant right before close?
The wife frantically searches for the restaurant again on Google, and this time, Google does not glitch. Google states that the restaurant has been closed for thirty minutes, which is well before the couple pulled through the drive through.
This couple, dear reader, was my husband and I. Somehow, after fifteen minutes of already being closed, we were served with kindness and respect from the staff of Burgers & Scoops. The food was perfect, we were able to go home with full stomachs, and I will now always think fondly of and recommend this cutie little diner in Brigham City.
Five stars! Y'all...
Read moreThis “dining” experience was almost funny but not quite. To start with we had to repeat our order several times, because the girl was too busy talking and not spending any time listening. Then when we got up to the window we had to repeat it again, and they had to change several things in the order because they had it wrong. We knew we were in trouble when they gave us a root beer when we had ordered Dr Pepper. Things rapidly went downhill from there. When they handed us our order they ask if we got everything before we even opened the bag. When I said I don’t know I haven’t looked yet she looked very confused. When we did check out our order we found the onion rings look like they were cooked yesterday and left in the grease overnight. They gave us the wrong burger, the fries were not edible, the grilled ham and cheese was two pieces of dried out bread a little slice of cheese and a tiny bit of ham. Even the drink was watered down. We ended up throwing the entire order away. I would recommend not wasting your time or your money...
