Grand Traverse Pie Company — Restaurant in Brighton Charter Township

I was very disappointed with my recent visit to the Grand Traverse Pie Company in Brighton. The energy from staff was very low—little eye contact, minimal acknowledgement, and no warmth in the interaction despite there being no other customers in the store.

I noticed I was overcharged even though a promotion was being advertised. When I asked about it, the cashier refunded the overage but simply placed the receipt on the counter without explanation. When I asked about the drink that was supposed to be included, I was told it was “coffee only,” which didn’t match the sign. I was then handed a cup without any direction on where to get the beverage.

Overall, the lack of attention, clarity, and customer engagement left me discouraged from returning. With so many other options nearby, I had hoped for a friendlier and more attentive service...

I love to order their combo meals that come with a pie or the 2 entree meals. Their shrimp and clam chowder soup is delicious and I love their salads! The strawberry field salad was great! They also have Hudson's Maurice salad. My kiddo loves their Mac n' cheese. They've got a good kids meal there as well. Their apple crumb pie is my favorite apple pie hands down--compared to anywhere. I have looked far and wide and their version wins! 🏅Recently tried the chocolate pecan pie and that was great too. If you order an entree on Mondays, you get a free pie. I’ve been to that restaurant two times and both times I’ve been disappointed. One time I wanted to get a pastie, And they told me that it was gonna be 45 minutes beforeI could get one. The second time I go in for two pieces of cherry pie. I give them my card and it doesn’t go through because they said they lost power. I have got to be honest with you I’m never going back to that restaurant not ever. I’ll make sure everybody I know doesn’t go there.
