My most recent visit was a solid 2.

I ordered a Reuben with pastrami, and after 15 min waiting ( when no one was in line, but seemed busy with something) they weren’t sure they had any pastrami. A New York style deli without pastrami? Well, they did find some, but then couldn’t slice the bread, as the machine wouldn’t work. Ever hear of a bread knife as backup? Anyway, I finally got the sandwich with about two slices of pastrami, a mound of sour kraut and Sourdough bread…because they couldn’t slice the Rye, and it didn’t look too good after the machine destroyed it anyway. Not a memorable sandwich for the right reason, but edible just the same.

Then the $8.99 soup was supposed to come with bread and fruit (I have a picture of the menu showing this) but neither was provided with the soup…. until we asked about why they don’t follow their own menu that clearly says both are served with soup. Well, then we were told we could have a piece of bread, but no….fruit is no longer served with the soup…they explained that…well….the menu is old, and doesn’t really reflect what you get. Ok… maybe Management can put a piece of tape or black marker over the part you don’t get, to make it clear what you don’t really get…when they advertise soup for $8.99. The ladies were sweet and somewhat embarrassed, but Management shouldn’t put them in a position of having to explain that they don’t provide, when it is clearly advertised on their wall.

OK…from my experience, the establishment doesn’t meet my expectations, but that’s just me. I’ve now been set straight that since their menu is old, you may not get what they say on the menu….and no that’s really not false advertising….it just and old menu. Thanks for setting me straight.

Next time, I’ll go elsewhere and eliminate the hassle of what’s what on the menu, whether they can slice bread, and whether the meat was a bit skimpy, as they don’t undercharge for anything they serve. You make...

Update* (Updated review at end of original review) I don’t know what has happened here, but things have really changed when it comes to service. I ordered a Hells Kitchen on marble rye…what I got was a slice of pumpernickel and a slice of who knows what. Instead of them telling me that they are out of marble rye and if I would like it to be on a different type of bread, they made that choice for me. The tomato’s are almost white in color and the onions are just a couple diced onions just sprinkled on this sad excuse for what Heidi’s sandwiches used to be. I eat at home now because every time I want to sit and dine in…I have to clean the crumbs and whatever else is living on the tables and seats before I can sit down. Really disappointed with how this establishment is going the opposite direction.

UPDATE I was contacted about my experience and was asked to try this establishment once more with proper changes that have been put in place. Upon arrival, Raul greeted me right away and was kind and patient. I ordered the Hells Kitchen and it was made to perfection! This is how Heidi’s used to make their sandwiches! This is the Heidi’s I have grown to love over the last 20 years. Thanks so much to the team at the Brighton location, Raul, Estrella, and Angel, for making my dining experience wonderful! I will be returning if this is...

I have never ate here but my husband talked about how great the egg salad sandwich was. Showed up at about 7:15pm. The website on Google says this location doesn't close until 8pm and well as the new business hours posted on the building. Tried to go in and all doors are locked and 2 workers are just sitting there. We tried to call the restaurant and watched one of the workers lift the phone up and stare directly at the phone and send me directly to voicemail. We saw another family try to go in and eat here as well and they knocked on the door and the workers just shake their head. Don't even come out to explain why the doors are locked. I did try to call again and finally got someone to answer. Informed them we needed to place an order. The worker told me they were closed. Informed them Google and business hours on doors say they should be open at this time. She proceeded to say they were having inventory shortages. Which is understandable with the pandemic, but have some curiosity to come explain that to 2 separate parties trying to eat at this location instead of sharing at them through the window and shaking your head from inside. Very disappointed this is my first experience with...

Based off of the other negative reviews it seems our experience was on par for this location. Not sure if there’s a manager for this store looking out for quality/ consistency but it doesn’t seem like it since the issues appear to be the same across the board. Paid $40 for two sandwiches one that was missing half of the add ons, and the other that literally has “avocado” in the title only to find half of a half of a piece of avocado on it. Also the bread was wrong and no one said anything about switching them out which seems to happen every time we come here. If you’re going to charge $16-$17 for a sandwich there’s no reason they shouldn’t be perfect every time or at least bare minimum inclusive of all the ingredients ordered and paid for.
