It's actually one of my favorite places to purchase yarn and crochet supplies. The three star rating is due to the way they post their sale signs. It is very confusing and puts way too much responsibility on the customer to be able to correctly identify the product that is on sale. As a person who works in this industry, I get confused.
Hobby Lobby as a company doesn't take ownership of their confusing signage. You just don't get the sale price. Thus I have a love hate relationship with this company. I find that with Michael's being more conveniently located to my job, and having much easier accesses overall than this location. I go back and forth as to which place I prefer.
Do I choose a clean, well displayed store that has confusing sale signs and is inconvenient to get to.
Or the store that is super easy to get to and the sale signs are clear, even though I may pay a little more. I am finding that if I am not crocheting something (I really do love their yarn!) Michaels is winning out
If Hobby Lobby would fix their signage, I would be a loyal customer. But they make me work way too hard to figure out which products are actually on sale.
I am not there to work that hard. I am there to get my craft supplies. Sales prices should not be a burden...
Read moreI am from out of town. I am here in brighton for a business for a few months. I am working on a project while in my hotel room and I needed something to finish it up. I went into hobby lobby after work not realizing that they closed it 8:00. I walked in about 5 mins before close. The girl at the front looked and me and sighed so loud. I was not sure if it was towards me or not so I went about my shopping. Little did I know it was 100% because of me. A few mins later I hear the over head announcement that the store is closed. The person doing the announcement was the same girl. She sounded very upset. As I was walking hack to the front to check out she was yelling at one of the other employees that he should have been watching the door and not let anyone else in. The girl at the register was very nice and when I apologized for being in so late because i thought they closed Later she assured me it was ok. The other girl however just glared at me the entire time. I understand wanting to leave because it's been a long day but she could have just told me they were closing when I walked in and I probably would have turned right back around and walked out. She...
Read moreBad attitudes all the way around. Tried asking for help when the staff was standing around doing nothing but what looked like socializing. When asked for help to reach something they called over a pregnant worker for the reach and gave attitudes for what they're supposed to provide (customer service). Not only were they rude but unfair to their coworkers. Sad to say but this store will lose customers and business with staff like that. Working in customer service for a long time i believe this stores staff needs to be re-trianed again on what customer service is. A manager diffinitly needs to be around while staff is talking to one another and make sure they help costomers. If you don't like your job, then quit! Other wise help when bell is ringing in the fabric dept, be attentive to customers, don't be lazy and ask a PREGNANT coworker to help for a item that needs a ladder to be reached. ONE...
