I'm not a stranger to this Rosaitis or Yorkville, Sugar Grove. My experience here at first was excellent, then the pandemic hit. Oh, this pandemic has changed alot of things, hasn't it. Especially food prices & skimpier amounts given. Let me get to my order placed on 2-12-2022 Chk #42, might help. I wanted the heart shaped pizza, also an Italian Beef. I asked the girl her name Linda very nice & told her can they add more meat on my Italian Beef, it's so skimpy all bread & $9.99. Told her I'm from Chicago & we know what an Italian Beef should look like. Maybe, someone from your establishment should go to Chicago & try one to see how it's made, just saying. She did type in add more meat, which I thanked her. Now, getting my order inside the cover of my pizza box someone wrote "... Is this too cheesy? ❤️" At first I thought let it go, then thought about it, 🤔. Was someone being sarcastic, or sincere, cause I asked for more meat. Well, let me tell you, if they read the ticket to my order the "MEAT" was in reference to the Italian Beef not the Italian Sausage on my pizza. So again, 🤔 on that message! I'm not sure if anyone will read this it is lengthy but, just had to comment. In looking back at my history you can definitely tell I'm aloyal customer in ordering from Rosaitis. Just recently I've been checking other restaurants in the area. Yes, I understand due to the pandemic LOTS of things have changed & places use that reason, that things are a little different in these times. Still, I would think you would want to make a good impression so word of mouth gets out & you get business. Like I said above, I don't expect an answer cause I doubt anyone will read or care. Read moreOrdered a pizza for delivery. It came on time. One 16" thin crust pizza with 2 ingredients, one order pasta Alfredo. 5 minutes away. With a $5 tip, $52+....are you kidding me? The way I tip, I'll put some on the order BUT, I tip for service as well. Opened the box right away so I could tip more if the service deserves it before the driver could get away. Pizza was squashed on 2 sides. This is why you wait to tip. It's bad enough it was so expensive for a thin crust with 2 toppings and a pasta order, but to have it delivered barely more than Luke warm and slid around the box..? This was the last time for Rosati's and me. In what world is it reasonable to charge so much for so little with bad service to top it off. If we don't make our own because we're in a pinch, frozen it is. These pizza places act like they're selling you filet mignon. No thanks An added note...I've been a customer since 2002, off and on. The consistency and quality has dropped substantially since I started to go here. I used to brag about this place but now I avoid ordering here and rarely try but only do a couple times a year now just to see if things have gotten better. Between the ridiculously high prices and the quality dropping off I'm very disappointed and miss the way this place used to be. Read moreMy 'go-to' pizza here. Love that they have the buffalo chicken pizza slices on Wednesdays. Great beer selection to go along with the pizza when eating in. The kids love the dough nuggets.
New Review Went here with the family on a Friday at 5:30, as we frequently do on Friday's. Although there was no line, and there were several tables free in the dining room, we were told that we could either sit outside or wait 30 minutes for a table inside. We asked why we couldn't sit inside (it was unusually cold), and we were told they don't sit 4 people at 6 seat tables.
We decided to comply and still sit outside. We then noticed there were 2 other tables inside for 4 that were empty. My wife asked if we could move to one of those tables instead. We were then told 'no' and that they didn't want to move us, it would be too much work.
We decided to leave and go instead to another local pizza place.
Still miffed, I called the manager and explained the situation. She said she didn't know why that would have happened, and that she'd hate to lose our business, but that was the end of the call.
