I’ve supported this Starbucks many times and have had mostly positive experiences. Today however was the second time I experienced terrible customer service. The first time my iced coffee had big chunks of almond milk in it. When I asked for a new one without chunks I was told it was ok to drink, that it just wasn’t shaken well enough to break up the chunks. I had to ask again for a new one and got a nasty look like I was rude for asking them to make my $7 coffee the way it should be made. Today I placed a mobile order at 6:20 and arrived at 6:30 to pick it up. It wasn’t on the counter. I stood there and watched a few orders come and go, none of which had my name or were the size or type of drink I ordered. At 6:23 I walked around to the register to ask how much longer it might be and check if it has been out and someone else maybe grabbed it. I was calm and understanding, not rude or accusatory. The lady at the register walked around to where they put out the drinks and the barista held it up and stated in a demeaning tone “I made this a while ago” and scoffed, as if it had been sitting there the whole time. As if I’m crazy and made an error in not seeing it. I can assure you it was not. I couldn’t stay to share my experience with the manager because I had to get to work but I did call right away. I explained what had happened and that I didn’t appreciate being lied to and treated like I had done something wrong. That I wasn’t upset that the drink wasn’t out and if they had just said “oops” it would have been fine. The problem happened when they tried to gaslight me. The manager then argued back “but your drink was there, I don’t see the problem”…. I explained again that it was not and that I don’t appreciate being lied to and would expect honesty from them moving forward. It seems to be a thing here that when you call out an error, rather than acknowledging it and fixing it or saying sorry, they fight back and act like you’re the problem. Between these experiences I won’t risk going back to this location and wouldn’t recommend others go there either. Theres one just a few minutes away inside the Jewel on orchard that has always been on point, I’d go...
Read moreWaited an hour for one coffee. Whenever I would ask about my order, I was dismissed because “the app said you’re order is ready because your food is.” I knew my food was done, since I had been holding it for 40 minutes waiting for my drink. I just wanted to know how much longer the wait would be. After that I walked away and waited for 20 more minutes. Still no drink. When I went up to ask about my drink again, the barista said “you’re still here” in a snarky tone. She then asked what my order was, I read it off to her emphasizing the decaf part of my order since I have a heart condition that causes me to pass out when I have caffeine. My coffee was still made wrong. I ordered a white peppermint mocha. There is absolutely no mocha in it, and it tastes like she poured the whole peppermint syrup bottle in the cup. Unfortunately I didn’t realize any of this until after I left. 10 minutes after I started drinking my coffee, I noticed my heart rate was a lot faster than normal (a sign that I was given caffeine opposed to decaf). This isn’t the biggest deal in the world, but hopefully you guys will learn why people ask for a specific coffee like caf or decaf. Also maybe take some notes on customer service. The manager was very dismissive to anyone who had a question about their order due to it being made wrong or taking longer than...
Read moreI ordered a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich from this Starbucks this morning (1/5/24) at 8:27am. When I got home and took a bite, it tasted off. I tried the egg and that seemed fine on its own. So I tried just the sausage patty and that was definitely rancid. I decided to call the bridge street store in yorkville where I got it from. The woman on the phone said she doesn’t know how that could have possibly happened as they receive their food fresh every day. She basically dismissed me saying that next time I come in, they will make another one fresh for me but that was it. She didn’t believe me and I assume she’s going about her day selling more rancid food for $4.95 a pop. I’m surprised there wasn’t any accountability from her or the company, or any attempt at making this problem right. I even offered to bring the rancid sandwich back for evidence that the rancid meat is in fact rancid and I’m not looking for free food here, just a refund at the very least. I will call back to speak with the...
