I am beyond disappointed with the wedding cake that was served this weekend. There was no effort put into at all and clearly anything I had asked for was not communicated or written down.

I had a unique wedding to say the least. I had a black dress and dark themed decor. Each table was a different Disney movie. My husband wanted a cake that was "out there, unique, and not something you would normally see at a wedding." These exact words used along with many other things asked for...

For starters we asked for a topsy turvy cake and not one layer be the same as the other. We discussed marbling,, but again, either each layer different colors OR this be done on two layers instead of all four. We also wanted Disney love characters on here. We specifically asked to NOT have the original Disney characters on here (Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy Duck, etc). We asked for characters like Simba and Nala, Wall-E and Eve, Woody and Bo Peep, John Smith and Pocahontas, Lady and the Tramp, and so on. We also asked for as many of these characters as possible. They only put one character on each level and you could barely see it. I know we discussed putting these images in our accent color, gold, if the cake was too dark, but clearly that wasn't written down either since you barely could see the FOUR characters they put in black on there... two of them being Mickey and Minnie and then Tinkerbell (didn't know Tinkerbell was a couple with herself!!)

Now I thought I would hear from the cake place within a month before the wedding... 2 weeks before the wedding... but no. Almost a week before the wedding I received an email to confirm they had everything we discussed (clearly not)! Marlene had requested a head count on Wednesday, May 17 and asked if she should call me. I had requested for her to do so. Thursday, May 18th the whole day goes by and I hear nothing so I call an hour before they close. Marlene was not available so I left my info with a gentlemen who assured me that she'd call back. She didn't. Friday, May 19 the whole day goes by again so I call 2 hours before they close and Marlene isn't available. I go over my concerns with the gentlemen and once again I was assured it would look "out there, unique, and something you don't normally see."

Then a even leveled cake covered in all 4 layers of dark blue frosting (supposedly marble) is presented with 4 black blob cutouts of characters was presented at my wedding.

Way to put in some "wow" there guys! Super super SUPER DISAPPOINTING!!

Oh! Lastly, they left nothing to cut the cake with!! I had to use the silverware I supplied for our guests to cut it!!

My husband and I did tastings at 7 different cake places all 45-90 minutes away from our home since the wedding was not near where we lived. So this was the #1 disappointing thing at our wedding.

Changing my review. I was very upset with this bakery because of horrible communication! A couple days before my daughter’s wedding I went to the bakery to drop off my daughter’s decorations for her wedding cake and there was a sign on the door that said Covid is back and they are short staffed and to call a number they left. I called and left messages and no one called back. I had no idea if they were even going to deliver the cake and I knew if they did, we would have to decorate it!! The day before the wedding I called and just kept calling and finally a man answered and he was rude, but did confirm they would be delivering the cake the next day. This is the worse customer service I have ever had and the man acted like I was terrible I even called!! I was determined in finding out what was going on!

I gave it 3 stars because it was the most delicious cake, especially frosting I have ever had! If they would have called us and let us know in a helpful manner I would definitely given it 5 stars. The communication was not good though out the process. It is too bad because they scared the heck out of me, but the cake was beautifully done and my sister decorated it and was absolutely delicious! I really hope they get their communication and customer service in order because I don’t know any bakery that can come close to making a wedding cake...

Pros (1): -Taste: The cake was absolutely delicious. I am gluten-free and it is very difficult to find great tasting gluten free desserts. We recieved many compliments regarding the taste.

Cons (2): -Horrible Decoration: I included a reference picture and said "I attached a picture. In the picture, there are three tiers; however, we would just need one tier for the decorated cake. I really like how it is decorated with the berries, sauce, and flowers. If possible, could the flowers be burgundy and navy?". As you can see by the big differences in the attached pictures, we did not get what we requested. We are disappointed since we paid a lot of money for the cake and this cake was displayed for all of our wedding guests to see.

-Poor communication: There were large gaps in email responses. In the month of our wedding, it took 12 days to receive the final price with the updated RSVPs and then another 6 days to receive the invoice to pay the bill. We were not able to pay until 6 days before the wedding, which...
