Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling — Local services in Bristol Township

It was too good to be true. It's been 10 months since we first started using summer services. Five star went down to two star. There is a huge difference with service.Just yesterday, the technician came out for maintenance scheduled appointment (furnace). Technician stated that we needed repairs near $4,000 or we could just buy a new one that cost around $10,000.(Last technician did the exact same thing for the air conditioning that is fairly new less than 5 years).He went on to say that it wasn't maintained properly apparently the prior technician failed to clean and service properly, causing current issues. He made those comments not realizing it was his co-worker. The prior technicians sat at the table talking ( I couldn't wait for him to leave I actually cancel the second service same day)he only worked on the furnace for 15 minutes at max. He said he had 25 years of experience and I thought okay well maybe that's why he's fast,NOPE it is now apparent,why. EITHER WAY BOTH experiences were negative..They are now constantly trying to upsell. There's nothing more nauseating than a dishonest technician, contractor, and or people in general. As stated I did refer twice,apparently they are no longer using their service. I gave them the two stars for punctuality.

First first time using Summer Plumbing Heating this past week, received a response within 5 minutes, and showed up within 2hrs. The plumber by the name of Cole was extremely professional and articulated perfectly when explaining the process. Cole explaining their business practices, changed our minds, we're dumping the service we used for the past 20 yrs. Furthermore, I already referred a future client. My only regret is not knowing about this company sooner, thinking about all the money we could have saved :-(. I guess our sink clogging was the best thing that happened that day....

The plumber this time, Cole, was wonderful. He took pride in his work and how that reflects the company. Cole is the reason why the review is still so high. He let my 3 year old son watch him and ask questions about what he was doing. He fixed the leak that had been a problem for 2 years even with a different plumber from the company looking at it, and apparently that poor performing plumber no longer works there. However, we called the administration office on Tuesday because all of our showers and bathtubs were backing up and unable to be used as well as all of the toilets on one level of our home. The lady we talked to asked if any of our toilets in our house worked and we said we had one toilet that worked downstairs. She said the next time someone was available to come in on Friday by 5pm. We stressed that we had no way to bathe for 4 days. She said that the plumbers were busy and since we had one toilet working then we were lower on the priority list because we didn't have an entire system backup. We've had some good experiences with this company before, but my husband had to try to clear the drains after he got off from work at 1AM on Wednesday night so we could shower. We were disappointed in administration there, but the plumber himself today was very nice, thorough, and said if he knew we had an issue like this then he would have come even in the middle of the night to resolve the issue. We had our annual furnace tune up done by Summers PHC. Felipe Mendoza was the Technician. Felipe did a great job for us. He was very knowledgeable and polite, fully explaining everything he did. He also checked our humidifier to make sure it was working property. We also have an electronic air cleaner which he checked as well. Very pleased with his overall performance. Good job Felipe!

This is an update to our post above. We had an issue with our furnace. Felipe was again our service technician and again was excellent. When Felipe did our clean and check he cautioned us that because of the age of the furnace we should be thinking about replacing it.

When the furnace quit, Felipe was here within 30 minutes of our call to Summers PHC. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided us with our options. He arranged for someone from Summers to give us a quote on a new furnace provided us with several portable heaters to keep the house warm in the meantime. Once again, thank you Felipe!
