I don't enjoy complaining, leaving a poor review or even a bad one. I've enjoyed coming to this location for years and as of late it has not been great. Today especially. I come in at least 1x weekly order a couple of bagels with cream cheese and they have barely any on either. So today I ordered my usual, and then asked for extra cream cheese on 1. I paid I believe $.75 extra even and furthermore provided a tip. I additionally purchased a 16.9oz Vitamin Water and am appalled that I paid $3.25 when this is not even the regular 20oz that I would expect to pay that price for. What I received and what I paid for was less than the "barely any" in recent weeks. I do not mind paying a little extra as long as I receive what I paid for. Today the staff seemed unprepared and overwhelmed. Its unfortunate because I absolutely love to support small local businesses and it's more so unfortunate to be overcharged, unsatisfied and unhappy with what I paid and what I received. I will likely give this place probably 1 more shot but it certainly won't be for a...
Read moreEverything was absolutely delicious I had a toasted bagel with lox spread which was absolutely delicious my wife had strawberry cream cheese on her bagel that was also absolutely delicious and on my bagel you could really taste the lox the strawberry cream cheese you can taste the strawberry. Everything is fresh and made to order. I was able to chat with the owner who's name is Robbie which was nice having not being able to get over to eat there in some time as always it's truly a great place to meet friends for breakfast or to take home a dozen or so they have different spreads and each one is absolutely so delicious. All the bagels are homemade the New York way so for a taste of New York Bristol Bagel Works is for you and the great thing is that you don't have to drive for 3 or 4 hours to get that New York taste when it's right here in Bristol, Rhode Island. It's...
Read moreLiterally have no idea how this place has 4.7 stars as I am writing this review. Bagels are fine, good flavor but pretty doughy - like B/B+ at best and by no means the best in Rhode Island, nowhere close to Rebelle or Providence Bagel. Besides that, the coffee is absolutely terrible, the eggs for the breakfast sandwiches are cooked in the microwave in a flimsy plastic container (and taste like it), and the line is always insane because of their frustratingly inefficient ordering flow – one person takes your order, makes your drinks, makes your food, and checks you out.
So yes, the East Bay is a bagel desert and you can get a decent bagel here on the cheap. But if you’re expecting a 5 star bagel experience, this is not the place.
Online ordering, a new toaster, and a staff member dedicated to making breakfast sandwiches (not in a microwave) would...
