Whelp, don't go to Friendly's on rt 6 in Bristol Ct. We have never been treated so horribly as we were tonight. The place was empty except for us 3 and my parents and maybe 2 tables. I showed up late so not sure how the beginning went which was fine I'm told. The manager brought us our food. I never saw the waitress. We were ready for ice cream after waiting quite a bit and said excuse me can we place our order. She snipped back saying it'll be a few minutes. Never came back. My mom got up and knocked on the wall where they work because no one was around and asked for our order to be taken. She explained the waitress is new and doing the best she can. Next out comes the manager yelling at us telling us how dare we treat his waitress that way. We are like what way we asked to get our order and she's ignoring us. He said we yelled at her and banged on the table and are saying rude things about her. Well collectively we all flipped out and a huge screaming match happened with us defending ourselves because we never were mean or rude. He then said we can leave. Sal said we are supposed to get ice cream he said I'll make it to go you don't treat us this way and you can leave. Like it went on cuz we were obviously shocked angry and defensive. Even asked for the district managers number and said no I'm not comfortable giving it to you. ????? Who doesn't have a number for that? Sal calls another location explaining our situation and they could hear how he was treating us. He gave us the number. In the meantime that manager talked to our incompetent manager probably telling him to just shut up but I don't know. We paid our full bills without our free ice cream that came with the meal. No apology or anything just shoved us out basically. I'm flabbergasted and horrified with all of it. Even if we were rude or mean he should have asked what was wrong and talked to us something anything other than yelling out the gate. It was ugly and unwarranted. And not even sure why or how it went south. Sal did get a hold of the district manager and he apologized on...
Read moreTook my grandson for lunch today and Mom. Waitress was great , food was good. However, my grandson ordered more than he can eat at one time and asked to take his salad that he took three bites of home. Well, he forgot it there. We realized when we were down the Rd on King St. I called them and asked if they had it and they had said they clean the table already and threw it out. I asked since ,it was thrown out so quickly and hardly touched,if they would make him another one free of charge. Guess what? No!! Now I understand things are expensive but first of if it's in a to-go thing and you know the family just left would you give it a few minutes to see if they come back. No. Ok. Well I ask for the manager. She said, I have to pay for another salad! 80.00 for lunch and I pay again? I said, " what if he had spilt it on the floor, would you replace it for free? She says yes. Makes no sense. Horrible customer service in my opinion. And it's a shame because my grandson likes it there and it's kind of almost a regular place that we go very often for lunch so...
