What time does the cook have to get up to have donuts ready to go and open the store at 4:30 am?

Did you know that Daylight donuts started right here in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1954. There are hundreds of licensed stores in Oklahoma. They all use the same ingredients and they all use the same process to prepare those wonderful morning wakeup baker’s confections. So, what distinguishes the stores from each other? It is customer service and the attention to detail. Kim’s Daylight Donuts has a 5-star rating on Yelp and 4.8 on Google. It is one of the best in the Tulsa area.

When we walked in, there were two bright-eyed friendly young ladies on duty. The racks were full of today’s freshly made donuts. There was an untouched pot of coffee on the warmer. For us, a couple of apple fritters, donuts and a fresh hot cup of coffee. We picked a table by the windows. A perfect morning to relax in the clean little store and enjoy our pastries. It was a little cool in the store this morning, because the front door never had a chance to close. A constant stream of customers, coming and going.

As you drive to work every morning, ever wonder who runs over all those skunks, possums and racoons (and the neighbor’s cat) you see lying in the road. These are nocturnal animals that are out from midnight to 3am. The only people out driving that early in the morning are drunks going home and donut makers, going to work. Donuts...

Called in an order for my sons birthday party. Waited in line for 30 mins only to get to the front and pretty much tell us "we don't have the order...next person in line!" Super disappointed!

Changing my review due to their response! They took the time to figure out what happened to my order, and took time to call me, not email and not reply on my Google review, they picked up the phone and called!! They explained what happened, it was a mistake by a new employee. I totally understand that, I was more frustrated by the inital tfb attitude. However, when they called they were extremely nice and apologetic and offered to make up for it. I got the feeling that they wanted to make it right for me because it was the right thing to do not because of my review, and they did! I truly appreciate it! I will make another order from them for my other twins...

I had special birthday donuts made for my daughter and they exceeded all of my expectations. I chose the colors but let them have creative freedom with the decoration and they turned out amazing. I also thought the price was really reasonable for a custom order that large. I will definitely be back for my other daughter’s birthday! Edited to add: I have now bought 3 custom orders for all of my kids’ birthdays and they have exceeded my expectations every time. They look incredible- truly art. They taste amazing, the price is great, and the staff is so friendly and personable. I also always buy extra sausage rolls or donuts whenever I go in because they’re just too yummy not to.
