If you like being berated and waiting a long time for lunch you're going to love this place!
In general, I like Culver's, this location, not so much. Their incompetence seems to know no bounds. I've been to this location twice. The first time it took 20 minutes to get our order once placed via the drive-thru window. They had 3 staff members aimlessly walking around the parking lot to find cars to hand out 1 or 2 orders. They meandered around as thought they clearly had more important things to do (like chat each other up) than hand out orders. They even left our plastic tent number on the mirror, which I didn't notice until it blew off as we drove down the road.
The second time, the drive thru line was at least 12 cars back, so we decided to park and go into the store. It was 1:05p on a Sunday. The outer door was locked. We went in as someone was coming out. The door into the store was not locked, so we walked in. We got to the lobby area and there were numerous customers waiting around the perimeter of the lobby area waiting for their orders to be filled. There were also at least 3-4 staff members standing at the registers as if the lobby were open and taking orders. The person behind the counter (presumably the manager) was very rude, asking 4 times of my wife whether the outer entrance door was locked, and she said yes (all 4 times asked). That person behind the counter said, "We just closed our lobby," and asked us to leave.
I'm not sure why the lobby apparently closed at 1p, or why there was no sign posted at the entry door about the lobby closing, or why they didn't post someone to let customers know about this lobby was closing, or why the manager berating my wife, especially since there were at least 5 customers around the lobby waiting for orders, and another 4-5 customers that came in behind us. Essentially the manager was impugning us for entering the store.
We left and went to Chipotle at the front of the same building, which I would recommend over this Culver's store. Again, I like the food at Culver's but not the customer service of this location (3705 N 124th St. Brookfield,...
Read moreI have gone to this restaurant and used the drive thru two times in the last 8 weeks, both times just after 4:30 pm, on a week day. Both times, I parked and waited and never received my order. I waited for just over 30 minutes the first time for 3 burgers and 3 one scoop cones - the cones I received right away after I paid at the window, and they were fantastic! I had watched all the cars around me receive their orders for quite some time and couldn't wait any longer! It wasn't that busy when I arrived, but business was starting to pick up after I'd been there a while. It was now well after 5 pm, so I grabbed the number off of my side mirror and walked inside, where I stood for another 3-4 minutes, waiting for someone to acknowledge and answer me about my missing order. When acknowledged, the young man appeared unapologetic and slightly annoyed that I was inside trying to figure things out. I took the bag he offered, looked inside, and walked away with our food. The second time I visited this store, it was closer to 5 pm on a weeknight and slightly busier than the weeks prior. I was only ordering for one this time, so I figured the whole process would be a better one! I ordered a Sourdough Melt basket and received my soda at the window. Parked to wait for my dinner and sad to say, never received it. I watched cars around me get their orders...again. The young lady delivering food to the car next to me said she'd go inside and ask about my number specifically and let me know asap what was happening, but she never returned with any info. I waited for a total of 27 minutes this time and was unable to get out of my car to go inside. I left, and when I got home, called the restaurant multiple times - no answer. I even called the next day in the afternoon and there was no answer. I will not be bringing my family or friends to this Culver's for quite some time. Disappointed that things have continuously gone down hill at this location (124th and Capital Dr) for the last year or so, and nothing seems to be done about it. I've had several negative experiences here, but these last two visits have def...
Read moreIt is a 20 minute round trip drive for me to this location. When I got home I noticed my order was not fulfilled and my shrimp order was missing. I figured I could call with my receipt number and resolve the issue. I called twice. Both times an answering machine picked up and I was not able to even leave a message because the mail box is full. My shrimp order was $7 dollars and some change. It’s definitely not worth adding another 20 minute drive so over 40 minutes and time to chat with employees for $7 dollars but I also was not going to let $7 just be stolen from. When I greeted an employee at the register i asked to speak to a manager. I thought I would need a manager to reverse the charges. The employee turned to a man wearing a black shirt who was sending food down the food shoots to tell him of the situation. That employee then continued to chat with the manager for a few minutes without letting me know what was taking place. I then said, excuse me, I don’t want an order of shrimp at this point if that’s what you’re doing. I wanted a refund. The employee responded “oh, that’s why you wanted the manager?” I said yes. Being polite throughout. He then turns to the manager who clearly dropped an order of shrimp to inform him. The manager shook his head in annoyance. This could be for many reasons of course, all unknown to me. But here’s the thing, I’m the one who’s now got a hour invested into running around because an initial order was not successfully fulfilled. I wasn’t being rude at all. I was just attempting to get my $7 and change back which doesn’t compare to annoyance of extra time lost. This location is mostly staffed with kids so I suppose there can always be growth with training but, to make it about them and not the customer, that is annoying. I didn’t ask for anything extra. I just wanted a refund. And even that turned out to be a hassle with much more time wasted...
