I went there with my family today for lunch. After looking at the menu, I decided to order chicken pad thai. Both my sister and I were shocked when the pad thai came out. It was pink! Immediately we said we have never had pink pad thai before and the waitress said, "I know me too, I was the same way when I first tried it, its a "special" sauce." So then I said okay and proceeded to ask her what did they use to create the pink color and she replied she didnt know. So I am thinking ok, its a special dish or sauce or whatever, and decided to try a few bites, curious if they had use fruit or a vegetable to create the pink sauce. A waiter came by to fill our glasses and I decided to ask again if he knows whats in the sauce to create the pink color. He said he didnt know too, so I said please ask the chef. He came back and said food coloring. I became so disappointed and decided at that moment that I was going to look up the food photos on this review page for this restaurant to see if there were food pictures of pink pad thai or food with pink food coloring. Nope, not a single one! Turns out that the one photo of the pad thai dish on this review page from another reviewer for this restaurant looked nothing like what was served to me, pink pad thai from food coloring! I got even more disappointed and almost offended, like why would they put pink food coloring in my pad thai? So I asked the same waiter to come by and asked that if the pad thai is going to be pink they should put it on their menu stating it under the description because I was surprised at how pink it was and it was not a pleasant surprise and asked him why they cook my pad thai that way. He couldn't answer me and then I asked for the manager. He sent another waiter over, this one apparently have been there longer than he has. So this other waiter came by and again told me that this is their special sauce. So I showed him the picture from this review page of the pad thai that somebody had ordered from their restaurant. He agreed that the pad thai that they served me looked nothing like the one that someone else had who had post on here. Then he asked me if I ever had pad thai before, because this is a special sauce that they used and that it's a red sauce but then kept saying that it is food coloring at the same time. So then I asked him does it look red to you and he said no and that yes it looks pink. After this ordeal, he decided to not charge me for the pad thai and we left. I get it, some people probably dont mind pink pad thai from food coloring, but please put that under the description next time so they dont end up being disappointed like me! Read moreIdk if this page belongs to the previous owner or the current one but I was there for Mother’s Day with my family. It was quite disappointing. This was not my first time at this restaurant. We’ve been coming here since the original owners opened throughout the changes of all of the new owners. Idk how many times this place has changed but one things for sure. The Hispanic woman who seems to be the person in charge was very unpleasant. I know at one point, in their Bun Bo Hue, there were blood curd cubes. I had asked for them to hold the blood curd cubes and the waiter had no idea what I was talking about. He sent the woman in charge over. She looked totally offended when I was telling her I didn’t want the curd cubes. She said they don’t put the blood curd cubes in their bun bo hue. I said ok. She stared me down and walked away. When our food came up, there was a piece of hair on my son’s rice. I took the plate up to the cashier because she was the only one there at the moment and had asked her to get me new rice. I left the hair there so they can see that I’m not lying. The lady in charge came up to me and said “what wrong now?” I told her there was a strand of black hair on my rice. She said it wasn’t a big deal and they’ll just replace the rice. I told her it was a big deal because it shows they’re not taking sanitary precautions. She just walked away. I ate my noodles which tasted fine. I took a small bite of the chunk of pork in my noodles and it tasted weird so I took it out and put it aside. Before I left the restaurant, I felt uneasy, dizzy, and nauseous. By the time I got home, everything was coming out of both ends. Figured I had food poisoning. So for the rest of my night, I was sick. I’ve never had service this bad from this restaurant before....
Read moreA friend of mine came in for dinner tonight to celebrate my birthday. We came in, waited in the front to be seated. We were sat and everything was fine until our server came. I never got a name from her but she was extremely rude. I am a server myself so I understand it can be difficult to keep a smile on your face all day. She said nothing when setting our food down, we said please and thank you. We were very respectful. There also was a family that came in and she yelled at them for seating themselves. I know that is annoying because I’m a server too, however, scolding PAYING customers is never appropriate. I have celiac a severe wheat, barely, and rye allergy. I asked if the pad Thai was gluten free. She did not know what gluten was, and when I told her she said everything on the menu I can eat. That is not true what so ever. She also made it seem that it was an inconvenience for me to have allergies. Once again, as a server I know it can be frustrating but the least she could have done is ask the kitchen what is safe and not safe. Since she did not ask the kitchen, I now have hives, stomach problems and a full blown allergic reaction. I have gone to many restaurants and have never had a problem as the server was always educated on allergies. I have never had a server be so disrespectful and not caring of the well being of a customer. There are some people with celiac where their throat closes up, she’s lucky that’s not my case otherwise there would be bigger problems. There was another server there who started helping out, she on the other hand was very sweet and helpful, she gave amazing service. The food was very good, and the...
