I went into enquire if they were hiring. One employee said yet they are and to go to the cashier for information and an application. When I get up to the cashier and ask what positions are being hired for. She brushes me off with a we're not hiring but always taking applications, in a condescending tone. (she also refused to greet me, but created everyone else who walked in.) I go outside, them go in to the manager. back inside a moment after leaving walk to the Manager, wait for his phone call to end. (Which was regarding short staffing.) I politely tell the manager that I am confused over getting conflicting information. He apologizes for his employee, saying she was just confused because they have interviews scheduled, but this somehow means they're not hiring...in the end I'm told they keep application on file to review periodically throughout the year. They're only looking for part time, and despite the sign that says $17 per hr and media coverage about them paying all full time employees $18.50 to start, their starting rate for part time is only $13.00. The manager also seemed to have an attitude that said he already had his hire picked prior to the interviews that were scheduled and they were just a formality. The entire store was being run by what appeared to be five people including the manager. This is no longer acceptable and I can guarantee that this manager would be one of the people complaining about not being able to find people to work. Or people unwilling to show up. I was on an off day and dressed in casual clothing in faded pants and a tee shirt due to 90° weather, and felt judged instantly over...

Read moreAs expected, this hobby lobby is a mix between home decor and craft supplies. The home decor is the bulk of this store in particular and the craft selection is fairly limited. Other hobby lobby stores that I have been to have a wider range of craft supplies, so if you are looking for something a little different or are particular about your hobby supplies, I would consider another location. For home decor, this is a decent location to shop. They do have small sections of the store dedicated to fabric and framing. The price point is fair, usually coupons and sales are available at checkout. Typically the staff is very nice and willing to help. One thing I like about this location is that they are generous with providing the little inspiration pamphlets and single project instruction manuals relative to how much they stock. While they do not change often, there are plenty to look at, meaning that if you are looking for project inspiration, this isn't a bad place to find it. I recommend this hobby lobby for a small and convenient craft supply run and home decor shopping, but not for finding anything...
