If you’re looking for authentic, mouth-watering Middle Eastern cuisine, Shawarma House is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the irresistible aroma of freshly grilled meats and spices.
The star of the show is, of course, their shawarma—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped in warm, fluffy pita or served over fragrant rice. Every bite is bursting with flavor. Whether you choose beef, chicken, or lamb, you can taste the quality and care that goes into every dish. The garlic sauce is rich and creamy, and their hummus is some of the best I’ve ever had—smooth, tangy, and incredibly fresh.
But it’s not just about the shawarma. Their falafel is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the fresh tabbouleh adds a bright, refreshing balance to the savory dishes. Even the sides like pickled vegetables and fries are top-notch.
What really sets Shawarma House apart is their commitment to authenticity and flavor. You can tell everything is made with love, using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the food is consistently amazing.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying a full dinner with friends and family, Shawarma House never disappoints. Highly, highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates fantastic food and a great dining experience. This place is a true...

This will be the last time we order from Shawarma House. The past few times we have eaten there in the past 18 months food and service has been extremely poor.
Food is reheated, pre-frozen and nothing is original. Middle Eastern knock-offs. For the food quality, it is extremely overpriced.
Our last purchase was 2 kofta plates, one beef shawarma sandwich and one chicken tender kid's meal. Kofta was extremely dried out and tasteless, as tough as beef jerky. Rice was cold and extremely chewy and we asked specifically baba ghannouj and got hummas. Salads were brown and wilted. Tomatoes smelled spoiled.
The kid's meal fries were still half frozen. Chicken was extremely overdone and it tasted like they hadn't changed their fryer grease in several weeks. The beef shawarma - it was chicken. Over $40 and we couldn't eat a single bite of the food because of the taste , mistakes and quality.
The previous time we visited this location two employees were having a heated argument in the dining room, using profanity. We were with our children. Not a family friendly restaurant.
We really liked the location on on Layton and 76th, sadly it closed. Since then the quality of food and service at all locations has suffered.
I would not recommend. There are much better choices for AUTHENTIC, fresh cooked Middle Eastern cuisine...
Read moreIf you have visited their East Side location you know what to expect. As this place is in a strip mall there is plenty of parking. Good eats at a lower price point and something to diversify Brookfield a bit. Spicy Chicken sandwich is a good way to go. Their Falafel is on point (no surprise there) and man those fries really hit the spot. Generic enough for you? The spicy chicken wasn't exactly spicy in the hot chicken style sense of the word. That said the flavors really meshed well and the portion size was good.
As I was waiting for my order I noticed a few things: Really good customer service in my opinion. They handled the crowd well this evening and kept people flowing through. The restaurant itself is very clean and was constantly being attended to by employees throughout my time there.
If you are in the area you should definitely pop in. This is good food and the price is fair. Brookfield needs to continue to consider options like this. East Side, Bayview and Tosa really lead the way when it comes to food and I was happily surprised to see Shawarma House out this way. I used to drive to Milwaukee to scratch that itch, and now no longer! I'll...
