Wow I really liked this place would recommend. I’ll start off with the food. I really enjoyed the appetizers that were given for the kitchen entrees. The miso soup was delicious and warm. The salad was also a favorite. The presentation was super nice and the mayo or dressing tasted really good. I also like the toppings on the salad as they added a nice crunch. For the meals salmon terriyaki was definitely worth it omg it came in a bento box like thing the presentation was good. All the flavors were super yummy. Next the kalbi this was really good beef Korean short ribs and it’s delicous. I enjoyed the cuts of meat I think a little bit more salt and it would be perfect. The sauce was super nice as it had a thick soy sauchish sweet flavor. Next for the sushi the eel sushi was the favorite as it was fried around and had the best flavor. There was also a crab one but I think the eel one was better. The California roll was decent. There is a small amount of alcohol within the sushi if you weren’t aware but overall decent sushi. Seating was nice in this mall location and our server was super kind. Overall 5/5 would recommend

Wasabi's Sashimi and Sushi are world class. This visit did not disappoint. We have been dining regularly at Wasabi for years, it is on our list of favorite restaurants in the Milwaukee area. The food is very fresh and the portion sizes are incredible, not like other places where portions are small. The Wasabi roll is still the best ever, but they are all great, you can't go wrong. The service was and is very thoughtful and awesome. the receptionist actually came to find us in the mall to tell us our table was ready and Nathan our server was great!! You could tell he was new and being coached, but really did a good job of respecting our need for privacy while being very attentive. I've read some reviews where unreasonably picky and rude customers made some comments about service, you know these people .... very very needy, unreasonable and negative. I can tell you the service at Wasabi has always been first rate, as good as any 5 star or Michelin star restaurant in any country we dinned at. Wasabi is a true jewel and Nathan and the employees are superb....

Lunch with the family. Adults craving sushi and kids requesting Udon... Wasabi Sushi Lounge to the rescue. Located in Brookfield Square, the restaurant is quite nice. An open and airy space welcomes you and the staff is very friendly. We ordered a bunch of sushi plates, Bi Bim Bap, Udon and kids Bento box. The courses are well paced and most meals come witg salad and miso soup. The portions are shareable and quite tasty. We were very impressed with the quality of Sashimi as the Unagi was fresh and not overly sweet with BBQ sauce. The sushi crunch plate was our favorite with four kinds of rolls, each had a unique taste and texture. The Bi Bim Bap are a must order dish for those that like rice dishes... the longer the rice sits, the crunchier and tastier it gets. The service is spot on and included gratuity was affordable for a family of five. Wasabi Sushi Lounge is a great stop for fresh and quality japanese cuisine.

I have had takeout from Wasabi a number of times, and the food has always been fine. Not great, not terrible, just average. I recently ate at the restaurant and had hands down the worst customer service of my lifetime. A friend and I took our children there for dinner. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, two children's meals, and a bottle of wine. It was our waiter's first night on the job and he was nervous but extremely polite, personable, and everything that a waiter should be. We got the food and the wine and everything was ok until our bill came, and it was $30 more than we anticipated. As it turns out, they charged us for a different bottle of wine ($20 more than the one we ordered) and adult entrees instead of children's meals. I brought it up with the manager, who instead of apologizing, ridiculed me and told me I should have known when our food arrived that the children's meals were too big to be for kids and that I wasn't even allowed to order off of the kids menu for dinner (then why did you bring me a kids menu?), and argued with me for several minutes about the wine, saying that I didn't double check the bottle to make sure it was the correct one and went on about how it was my fault and the best she could do was to give a 10% discount on the contested amount of the bill. Um, NO, the onus is NOT on the customer to make sure the employee does the job correctly. I completely understand that mistakes happen, and so that would never be a deal breaker for me, but the manager's attitude was deplorable. Had she been remotely apologetic I would consider returning, but there's no way I'm paying good money to be treated like crap when all I want is some mediocre california rolls and a glass of vino that I could buy for $2.99 from...

I have been going to Wasabi for 5 years, as some have said on here it was much better when it first opened, but I still consider it good quality compared to other Milwaukee area sushi bars.

As for the service, it can be hit or miss, I've gotten quite good service there, and quite bad. Until now I was never turned off, but after today I don't think I will be returning, at least for quite some time.

Apparently, there is a new manager, I don't know her name, but she said she has been working there since August of 2014. She would not offer me the up to half off that they do on Monday pricing on my usual order that I had always received a few dollars off. She said it is for dine in only, and I replied that I have always gotten that pricing, in which she replied "well that's why I'm the new manager, because the old one did stuff like that". I said fine, and agreed to pay full price, as I am signing I ask "there is eel sauce in there right?" Which she replies "well its 50 cents extra" which i laugh and say "well i was never charged for that before either, i guess you can run my card again for that too" which she then so graciously said she will give me the eel sauce "this one time" but please let us know ahead of time. "Well it will be one time because I put it on the online order ticket, and I won't be doing take out again". She got the eel sauce and said "Im sorry for the changes but that is why that manager is no longer here" which i replied "well she kept my business, you unfortunately did...

This used to be my favorite restaurant. I ate here often. My teen daughter got a job here before going off to college, and they were extremely rude to her when she told them she had to quit. She's leaving for college in less than a month. She was told she needed to get her priorities straight. The priority is to go to college and become something, not to be a host at a sushi lounge for the rest of her life. The day she tried to talk to them, she was crying, as she felt bad due to their response.

I know because my family ate there that day. And she was told to go do her job. Maybe they didn't realize I was her mother.

So if you are looking for a job, maybe this isnt it. And if you are looking for good food, the belgogi had astronomical amounts of fat in it the last few times, so skip that too.

The mall is dying off, I guess we will see what the future holds for wasabi sushi lounge. Just know, the ownership is not nice. Protect your children from employers like that.

Update!!! My husband wanted food from here, so we went again, and holy wow, nothing like being singled out for telling the truth. I am making a report now about harassment and harassing behavior. Writing to other workers regarding my family and this review is NOT making you look better.

It was a MISTAKE even stopping in. The character of the people who run this place is horrid.
