This location is literally the Off-Brand of Fox Bros. Who in the world thought a buffet-style BBQ place was a good idea. The menu is confusing, the food is served out of metal catering bins but the bins are steaming over hot water and covered in plastic so your food is actually sitting in that hot plastic the whole time. The ribs come out of a Hot Box. The saddest part is the food doesn’t even taste like it’s from Fox Bros. The baked beans tasted like they came straight out the Bush’s Beans Can. The Mac and Cheese tasted like it was drowned in Velveeta Cheese and hot milk. The Ribs had no Smokey taste to them and just tasted like overly seasoned and salty meat. Actually none of the sides had that signature Smokey Fox. Bros. taste. The banana pudding that was mostly Reddy Whip,Vanilla Wafers and lacked pudding that tasted like pudding. Really it tasted like straight sugar and Reddy Whip.
The service was also terrible. Nobody greets you and the workers act like we are supposed to know how to order from them like this location is normal?! They have signs posted order here and we are thinking we order our whole meal there but no just the meat. How does that make sense? Then you order your sides as you go but there are no signs or workers that explain this to you. This place is legit set up like a subway assembly line.
I went in excited and left confused like I left the Upside Down or the Twilight Zone. You would think any Fox bros. location would taste the same but I guess that is asking for too much. The décor in the restaurant is cute I guess but cute decor isn’t what I came here for.
I wanted to try a new location but I will always go to the Dekalb Ave. location their service may be unique and the parking maybe terrible but they have it together. This location needs to close I don’t see anyway for the food or service to improve. Whoever thought making a buffet style Fox.Bros I just don’t understand why you would think this was a good idea. I don’t want to hear that all the locations use hot boxes that might be true but that doesn’t explain why this specific location has the worst quality of food compared to the other locations. How are you not embarrassed by showing customer that your food comes out hot boxes. Unacceptable! Shut it down now!
This place just really offended me in every way possible. Yes I’m upset that I paid for subway assembly line off brand Fox bros....
Read moreThis was my first time dining at Fox Brothers BBQ, and while I absolutely loved the food, which is why I’m still giving 3 stars, the service left much to be desired. I asked if they had bottled water, and the cashier confirmed they did and charged me. However, when I received the bottle, it was mineral water, which is quite different from regular bottled water. I explained that I don’t drink mineral water and requested to return it since it was $4. Unfortunately, the response I received was less than accommodating, and the cashier’s attitude was dismissive. I suggested she be clearer in the future about what they offer, but instead of addressing the issue professionally, she provided no explanation while delaying my return. When I asked about the status, she rudely stated she was waiting for change, something she could have easily communicated to avoid confusion.
To make matters worse, once I sat down with my family to enjoy our meal, I noticed the same employee and her co-workers repeatedly looking at our table and giggling, which made us feel uncomfortable and rushed. This behavior was unprofessional and created an unpleasant dining experience.
While the food was excellent, the poor service has left me hesitant to return to this location...
Read moreI normally go to Fox Brothers barbecue, DeKalb Avenue so I decided to try the one in Brookhaven and to my surprise they did not measure up to the Dekalb Avenue Location so far off, I got my order to go and upon getting home and having dinner the food was extremely horrible, Potato Salad had to much seasoning, salt and etc., same for Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese was sticky and definitely not sure of the flavor there was none no Cheese consistency or was it just the wrong type of cheese, Banana Pudding had only 3 banana slices, The Ribs were very salty and the taste I’m used to from the Dekalb Location and the Wings were OK. When I called and spoke with a manager he tried to explain how they do their seasoning, I totally didn’t understand, but in my opinion, everything was terribly seasoned, and the banana pudding he stated that they separated, so it’s only three banana slices in each order of the banana pudding so if you want some decent banana pudding, don’t get that one. As a manager he ask me what he could do that’s not a question for he should have had a solution to this problem. I Pray that they didn’t franchise their store. I will not be going there again,...
