Little Tokyo Japanese Steak House — Restaurant in Brookhaven

My wife and I were enjoying our meal when the server had accidentally knocked my new born’s carrier over. Luckily he was strapped in, the carrier snagged on the lip of the table, and he did not impact the floor however his head was hit on the table leaving a swollen red lump. The following 30 minutes entailed half the staff looking at us to see if we were going to get mad. My wife and I brought our son to the front desk thanking them for the food and told the staff what happened, letting them know that we were headed to the hospital to make sure he’s okay and that we’ll follow up with the restaurant to see where we’ll go from there. However, we were met with the staff just staring at us.. when my wife reiterated that they are liable for anything thats happened to him, another employ said “Why are we liable?”. After asking to speak to a manager to clear this up, one of the staff staring and not making any effort to speak to us said she was the manager.

We didn’t ask for a free meal or compensation, we didn’t ask for anything other than their co-operation and they could not be bothered to show any empathy. In leu of doing the right thing, they rang up that bill and tried to convince themselves that they were not responsible. The fact that we were treated like annoying customers, complaining about the meal being wrong made us sick. Last night could have been horrific if my son had not been strapped in or the carrier had not miraculously caught on the lip...

The management here is extremely unprofessional and even cruel!!! My husband and I went to dinner here with our two month newborn baby and the waitress accidentally bumped into our baby’s high chair, knocking his carrier off the high chair. Luckily our baby was strapped into his carrier and the handle to his carrier caught onto the corner of the table. However, our baby hit his head and we had to take him to the emergency room. He had swelling and a red mark on his head from where his head hit the corner of the table. The whole staff just stared and didn’t say anything. The waitress FINALLY apologized 30 minutes later. We received no apology from the manager and no kind of compensation for our meal. The managers just stared at us and offered no kind of concern or care about our baby. I swear I’m probably the only one that orders a side of hibachi broccoli in teriyaki sauce with my sushi or hibachi but I can’t help it imma huge broccoli fan and theirs taste amazing for sure! This is the best place to go to in Brookhaven for sushi or hibachi. Everything is always cooked to perfection and the staff are always friendly! The beer is always fresh, although I wished they sold wine, but it’s totally fine. Who doesn’t love a good beer and sushi right? For my hibachi I always order the steak med rare and shrimp with no rice and only veggies or only broccoli depending on what I’m really craving. The sushi is always a mix up, I can never really decide what I want cause I love them all so I order 3-4 different rolls to have a nice variety...
