This restaurant is run by a very sweet husband and wife duo. I was the only customer there around 9:30pm on a Tuesday night so it was just the 3 of us! This wasn’t the best sushi I ever had, but it was good and I did enjoy the intimate, quiet setting, also I appreciated their great service so I’d love to return some day and try more from their menu. I’d probably go for the beef bento box next time.

We got takeout from here, it was ready quickly and it was delicious! The spicy maki trio tasted very fresh, and the yaki udon was yummy and comforting. Easily one of the best sushi/japanese places in the area. And the man running the restaurant was friendly. Next time we will dine in! It has a cozy vibe inside.

I went here on the Valentine’s day. I was not happy with the slow service. We had to wait for 20 minutes, even though there were no one besides us. The deluxe sashimi we ordered was still ice cold. The rice was not soft like other places I have been to. This menu costed $45-50.

Fantastic experience dining-in. Small and cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant. Food was tremendous and could tell was carefully created by the chef. Sushi was very tasty. Simplicity heightened the experience. Small restaurant with a gentle kind lady serving us. Very friendly chef who kindly asked how our meal was.

Quiet compared to the other typical yuppy sushi places around. Allowed for a casual laid back and homey feel. We certainly prefer this place over any loud and crowded sushi places in Brookline. They have great take out options available too!

We ordered 4 rolls and edamame and were extremely budget friendly and affordable. The rolls were very fresh and had great structure. Nothing worse than when the sushi falls apart. This delivered. Give it a try and appreciate the simple setting and a cozy/quiet feel.

Tremendous value. We will certainly be coming back to support this...

Best sushi in Brookline! One might be tempted to try Super Fusion next door, but that would be a terrible mistake. To be fair, Super Fusion offers decent sushi, but if you truly want a fantastic dining experience, then Chicken House (AKA Kazima Sushi) is the way to go.

It first starts with the ownership. You can truly feel the passion and care that the owners put into their restaurant. It shows not only in their impeccable service, but in the quality of their food as well. They have the freshest fish I have ever eaten.

You will NOT be...

Most amazing sushi around, excellent for takeout and a very attentive dine-in experience. Absolute best quality and best value - super inexpensive and reasonably priced for what you get. Can't recommend it highly enough. Very friendly family owned establishment, been part of the neighborhood for a long time since they took over back when it was called Minato and was owned by their friends. Go try it out and avoid the overpriced trying-to-be-trendy place a few doors down!...
