Our Ari always looks forward to a class with Diana. Ari is not a very artsy person, but Diana has such a magnificent approach to teaching Art to children that she is able to engage everyone! We also appreciate that Diana introduces kids to Art history, by covering variety of artists & topics in kid-friendly terms at the beginning of each class. Our 5-year old was really taken with Greek mythology (Diana brought in the figurines to let the kids touch & explore "hydra," "Cyclopes", "Hercules" etc.) He also really liked learning about Picasso. As a teacher Diana has a great personality, patient, warm, and her enthusiasm about Art is infectious :) Combined with guided museum trips, and outdoors classes when seasons allow, we are thrilled with the experience our child is getting. Not to mention unparalleled creativity Diana brings to the studio -- kids explore all forms of art, from drawing & painting to sculpting, mosaic, making collages, creating African masks, working with yarn ... I am barely scratching the surface here.. Bottom line - I cannot say enough good things about Plein-air-academy! It's a...
Read moreI’ve taken several painting classes with Diana and have always found her to be an incredible teacher and mentor. When she announced her all-day retreat, I knew it would be the creative reset I needed—and it truly was.
The day’s rhythm, from pilates to a meditative walk, was beautifully designed to connect mind and body. Through collage and journaling, I found new clarity about my priorities and what truly defines my sense of self-worth. The experience helped me process major life changes with calm and confidence, rather than anxiety.
Most importantly, the retreat became a catalyst for me to take my art practice seriously again. I left feeling grounded and inspired to carve out more space for creativity in my life.
Diana’s insight, empathy, and encouragement continue to guide me; I can’t recommend her retreats and classes highly enough. They nurture both the artist and the person...

My daughter has had a wonderful time at this art studio. Diana, the owner and teacher, is truly one of a kind. Her teaching approach and curriculum are outstanding—she creates a space where kids not only learn techniques but also express themselves freely. Every class ends with colorful, creative pieces that reflect their imagination and growth.
The monthly workshops are also a real gem. Whether it's watercolor, pastels, or embroidery, each session offers a chance to explore a new technique in a supportive, no-pressure environment. You don’t need to be an expert—just willing to experiment and have fun. It’s a fantastic way to unlock creativity and try something new. Highly...
