Tried this new gem in Brookline Village with my kids. They were accommodating of our allergies and double checked the food items so I felt safe eating there. The beef and chicken katsu curries were super delicious and my kids ate every last bit of the sauce. I had the chicken katsu rice burg - not too spicy and the pineapple is a nice addition. I had the side of fries which were the thin cut that I like and were salted just right. The bulgogi rice bowl was ok - and we had broccoli as a topping which was cooked well. The kids had frozen milk mango slushies with boba and had decent mango flavor and boba with nice chewy consistency. The Thai iced tea didn’t quite taste like Thai iced tea to me though - almost like a cookie flavor. I had an unsweetened hibiscus tea which was good for me since I didn’t want sweet. The rice burgers are unique, flavorful, and super satisfying—I especially recommend the bulgogi, which was juicy and perfectly marinated. Fries are crisp and addictive, and the burger + fries combo comes in a cute, convenient box. The chicken bowl was fresh and hearty, too.
The space is clean and cozy with a handful of bar-style seats, so it feels more like a casual, grab-and-go spot than a sit-down restaurant. Street parking is available nearby, which is convenient in Brookline. I also really appreciated that it’s family-owned—you can feel the pride in the food and the service.
They have options that are vegetarian and even keto-friendly, so there’s something for everyone.
Best part? Two adults can eat a full meal here for under $30—rare these days! I’ll...

RiceBurg is one of my new favorite restaurants in Brookline.
We got a large Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, Scallion Pancakes, & Chicken Katsu Riceburger. The popcorn chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, and it was a big helping! The scallion pancakes were also crispy in the best way and not oily at all. The chicken in the chicken katsu riceburger was cooked to perfection and came with a spicy sauce (you can choose katsu or spicy sauce) that gave a kick (but not so spicy like you need to drink a glass of milk)!
All-in-all, it's worth the money ($30 for 2 people) because you really get a lot of food, and we'll most certainly come back and try...
