I LOVE this place. It's about a half-hour drive from my house to get here, but when I say it's worth it,... I mean, it's WORTH IT!! They used to be located in a little stand at the mall where the JCPenny is, and I would always go there every week to get boba for my family and me, and then one day, I saw they were gone, and they were going to open up a new location, so I followed their Instagram and stalked them for a few months, and they wouldn't updatešš so I lost faith and tried so many other boba places, but they never satisfied me like Rubie's, one day my brother asks for froyo so I get froyo from froggos and I see a 'GRAND OPENING' sign, and I read the name, and LO AND BEHOLD, MY FAVORITE BOBA PLACE IS RIGHT NEXT DOOR š„¹š„¹š„¹š„¹ I walk in, and I'm greeted by the cutest decor and the sweetest more warm smell I've ever smelled like ever. I ordered my milk tea immediately, and I was extremely happy for the rest of the day. It's a family-owned place, and they are SO NICE. I can't wait to try one of their mousse cakes; they look so cute!š„¹
To summarize, I love everything about this place. The drinks, the atmosphere, the staff, the decor, EVERYTHING. It all tastes so good if I could give it a million stars, I would āØļø The best boba I've ever had I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off the guy who took my order had no redeemable customer service at all. Didnāt say high, no smile just a look on his face, like what do you want and hurry up.
I got a milkshake and the only milk is soy milk, so thatās not necessarily a negative on them but it would be nice if the had other milk options and especially since selling āmilkshakesā. Soy milk is ok but still not the greatest thing to consume either in comparison to cowās milk.
The problem was when he went to make it. The blender had leftover water or some type of liquid left in the bottom and he just threw it out and proceeded to make the drink, which is not sanitary and at the least the customer should not have to be concerned about what is just in the pitcher that their drink is being made in and not cleaned or rinsed out before making a new drink.
The ingredients they use is a syrup some type of powder and 4 big scoops of ice. Now a milkshake should not need ice to make so in reality this was not a milkshake but a smoothie. A smoothie is blended with ice and milkshakes with milk and ice cream and it wasnāt even a great drink either way. I could taste the artificial flavors from the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter the kiosk closed I went into a sad boba tea frenzy trying to find a tea that compared to Rubie's at Christiana! I was an avid customer especially considering my children are picky about flavors and miss Rubie's delicious child friendly fruity milk teas. After trying many different tea shops in the area, I drove by Rubies in Bear and knew it had to be the one!! Congrats to the owners who decided to take their business to a bigger, brighter, beautiful shop with many more items and varieties to choose from! They are so sweet and remember us every time. Perfect boba teas every time while supporting our...
