Okay this comment is super long, sorry!
Usually there's some small thing wrong when I go to this McDonald's -- something ordered is missing, the tea is WAY sweeter than usual, there's an order mix up, extremely stale/hard fries, a rude employee, etc -- but hey, it's McDonald's. I get it, especially during the busy parts of the day, like during lunch. All in all, this isn't the best McDonald's I've been to, but I know these people who work there still work hard and get payed minimum wage just to feed our needy selves. So yeah, it's alright.
My most recent experience went just fine; I went there for lunch today with my girlfriend. I ordered a medium frappe, a cheeseburger, a McChicken, a large fry, and a medium Sprite Berry Mix. (or whatever their Sprite is called idk.) They were extremely busy, since it was about 1PM or so. Both lanes are packed and moving slow, so the employees taking orders are in a rush. Or at least the employee taking my order. She kept hearing me wrong and I would correct her, we were both getting a bit confused, but that's alright. (She was still very polite, and so were the other employees.) I pull up, pay, get my food, had to wait a bit for the frappe, that's normal. The only thing they messed up was the McChicken and Sprite, surprisingly! (No offense!) I figured that more things would be missing or mixed up with someone else's order, but the only thing that went wrong was that the regular McChicken became a spicy and their "Special Sprite" was a regular. Nothing to complain about, we still enjoyed! It's understandable for there to be mistakes, there's many people to tend to and many orders to take, I can't imagine how hectic it was in...
Read moreActually one star is too good for this McDonald's. This McDonald's seriously leads to get a handle on their manager and their staff on how they take care of their customers and customer service. I sat in the drive-through for several minutes waiting on someone to take my order the 2nd kiosk had someone to pull up and lo and behold the man's order was taken immediately. So I then hollered out Hello in when somebody answered I proceeded to tell them that I had been sitting there for a while and I was thinking that maybe the kiosk wasn't working. The girl continually argued was me and sinuating as though I didn't know what I was talking about or I was a liar. Then she gets the manager on on the manager continues to do the same thing Archy with me more or less like I didn't know what I was talking about Barry Barry Barry poor service the manager should have just apologized as well as the young girl that's all I wanted was an apology neither one of them could do that period I see that there are other people that sat and line at the kiosk waving for a long time before someone answered the inner calm we really need to get a handle on this period when I called the McDonald's regular phone to see if I could get the managers name and the district managers phone number, no body answered. 3 times I called and guess what 3 times and your out. I'm not through with this I will make sure that I get that managers name and I get that district managers phone number and call. I felt so uncomfortable that Ileft and would not order food in fear that somebody would do...
Read moreThis location usually does an ok job, with occasional good service depending on the crew. That's the thing - it is hit and miss.
McD has shifted their DT policy over the years from absolutely do NOT park cars (hold at the first window to keep the line moving,) to auto-parking anyone if the food isn't in the bag when they arrive at the 2nd window. How do customers feel about this? Mostly, they hate it just as I do. You can't market yourself as QSR, when you really have a Sonic-style curbside model. Culver's makes this work because they set expectations up front on how their system is designed and they always provide fresh food
I know the McD production system well, and the franchise investment into holding bins "should" keep most menu items available to support average hourly volume (backed by data analysis), yet in reality a lot of swing managers either don't understand or are too lazy to maintain proper bin levels. The end result is they either waste food or park a lot of cars.
The 2 stars here on food is because I was instantly parked, and upon receipt of my food none of it was remotely fresh. Old fries, hockey puck McNuggets. 3 stars is fair considering overall experience. I will rotate into other options for a while until I feel like I am willing to give them...
