Decided to try out this little restaurant that is about 10 mins from where I am living and it actually turned out to be quite delicious. I ordered the Drunken Noodle dish, a side of Fried Rice, an of the Dynamite Rolls, Thai Tea and finally Edamame for a pallet cleanser between dishes. I am allergic to avocado and the waiter was helpful in choosing rolls I can eat and can’t eat at. I gotta admit, the Dynamite Rolls were by far my favorite out of what I ordered. They were simply delicious and I wanted more of them-haha. Should definitely try them out! The Fried Rice was a bit underwhelming but pretty good when mixing the beef from my noodle dish with it. The Drunken Noodle dish was pretty good, it hit all those little flavors I look for in the dish and the spice was maybe about 2 out of 5 on the spice scale. I had it with vegetables and beef to complement it. The Thai Tea wasn’t very sweet and pretty tasty in between dishes. It really complimented the whole meal. Overall, it’s a great little place to try out. It’s clean and the service is pretty good. It’s also not so loud and the music is pretty pleasant to listen to in the background. The restaurant itself is pretty busy as new customers come in and out. I did notice that it seems to be a popular place for delivery. Would recommend to those who haven’t tried and want to try something different. :)

We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. As far as kid friendly goes they have high chairs but not a kids menu or even proper kids cups. We got there during lunch and it wasn’t too busy. Our server was nice but it did take him a bit to take our order. Starting off he did forget to put in our appetizer and he delivered each food item at separate times, which was odd. My husband ordered a wonton soup and I ordered a hot and sour soup and I got mine first and then he got his a couple minutes later; the soups were delicious. When it was time for our main meal I got my sushi first which was the crazy lobster roll I believe also an albacore nigiri. Ten minutes later my husband got his Mongolian beef came with fried rice, the beef was not tasty at all and it had a weird after taste and the fried rice had absolutely no flavor. Then another 6-8 minutes later my daughter got her pad Thai noodles and they were not made the traditional way, my daughter hardly ate any of it and she loves noodles. Our server didn’t communicate when dropping off our food that it was going to take a bit for the rest of the food to come out which it wasn’t a big deal. Overall the sushi was good and they do have a sushi lunch menu with good prices. I suggest just stick with the sushi.

My partner and I wanted to try this place out because the place we absolutely love is so expensive ($80-$100 for two people). We tried quite a few items and honestly I was imagining something different for almost each item we tried. When everything was placed on the table, it was all in bulk, the raw was a little warm to my standards and there wasn’t much flavor in anything and the rolls were not tight- a lot of them fell apart easily. Everything was just bland and a bit anticlimactic for me. The people were very nice though and that’s where I’d contribute the stars. At the end of the meal, the cost was literally what we would have paid at the Misaki restaurant down the street but Misaki Sushi is top notch where you can see and taste the care and time put into creating good sushi. I hope this doesn’t come off harsh. I was just really sad we didn’t go to our original spot, especially because there was no difference in price point.

I am posting two reviews in one, the most recent and leaving the previous one. The service has gone downhill rapidly.

It is always disappointing when one of your favorite local restaurants goes downhill. Ooka this time charged extra money to put chicken into a curry that always come with the chicken for me as a substitute for the eggplant which I cannot eat due to allergies. They charged for brown rice before the very first time and never have before. They messed up the spring rolls and charged extra to correct them when they made the mistake. Then when they gave us the new spring rolls, there were no shrimp in them whatsoever. Last time they screwed up, they were going to make it up to us, later but they never did. When speaking to them, there was a level of disc surface not professional. We have given them lots of business, and this level of disrespect is not acceptable. I know that if they lose business with us, then they are losing business with others as well.

We usually go to Ooka or get takeout several times a month. The last order was a total disappointment. The two Currys were not what we asked for. They added a curry to the order that we did not want and charged us for it. They say they will give us a complementary curry in the future but that does not correct that we paid for what we didn’t want. The whole dinner with a gigantic disappointment.

In some, they haven’t refunded money or fixed any of these problems. They have done nothing to make...

BEST SUSHI && BEST SERVICE. Never have I ever loved going to a place as much as i love going to Ooka!! You are always warmly welcomed once you walk in and the service is always top notch. Extremely polite staff, especially Coco & Pete. It is always a pleasure when the staff treats you as if you are more then just a customer to them. My boyfriend James and Myself (Nicole) just moved out to Colorado recently and they have made our moving experience wonderful, just by their generosity and kindness. They are sincerely overall amazing, good hearted people.

Now their sushi is BEYOND phenomenal. Kicks east coast sushi in the ass. Best Sushi in Colorado, hands down! The sushi is always full with fish and wrapped with the perfect amount of rice. Even their Cuisine menu if great! always hot and Fresh. That is another thing that is great about Ooka, all their food is FRESH and perfectly made however you need them to make it. Don't hesitate to try something you think you may not like because you will be surprised at how deliciously different they are .For prices so small you get so much! Always leaving satisfied.

Ooka Sushi and Asian Cuisine has become a regular visiting place for us and we do not plan to ever stop. Its so hard to find a place with amazing food and an amazing staff, so glad we found them!!!

Highly recommended to Sushi and Asian food Lovers !!!
